I'm all for Glorified G at every show if it makes progress ....
but regarding Trump, i've always felt the best way to bug him is to ignore him and focus your energy on quietly undermining his causes through focusing on the next set of elections ... if a band like PJ makes headlines in the news that degrades him it makes him almost as happy as supporting his insanity ... he feeds off his ego and just wants to know people are talking about him even if it's negative stuff ... he's a lot like Kim Jong-un in that way.
This concludes my political discourse ... and with that, i hope the band plays all my favorite songs at each show this tour without focus on any political agenda and instead continues to focus on messages of equality and inclusion
The American in Me and Know Your Rights would be spectacular. And to those saying no thanks, they'd have to avoid half of their catalog. Most of their songs have social and political ties.

Does pj even have ten political songs?
Yeah, that's why I added in social, which in today's age is every bit political. Straight up in your face political, not many.

I thought 75% of their songs were about the ocean? Math is not checking out here!

Know your rights and I Am a Patriot would be fine songs for the setlists

Social commentary: How about Corduroy regarding homeless individuals and the (perhaps judgmental) assistance offfered, or assistance with strings attached? Mind Your Manners about evangelism/religion.
War: Yellow Ledbetter, and obviously they love to cover Fortunate Son.
Man, I need to emphasize how much I would so LOVE to see them perform Gimme Some Truth. We thought George Bush was bad back in ‘03...damn!!
after barely a political peep at 2016 Wrigley, I think the days of overtly political PJ are over. Was a good run while it lasted!
Eddie was VERY political at Pilgrimage last September.
That's good to hear. I just know from seeing them many times that the politics have dropped noticealy since 2006/7 or so, both in songwriting and stage banter

Ever listen to riot act? More than 10 on that alone

Couldn't agree more. My suggestion is that if the band wants to get political, they don't need to narrow things down to him. They can be more broad in what they say and talk about Trump's problems without bringing up the man himself or dropping the name. They can use their music for this as well. No need for big flashing headlines, just honest talk about how they feel about the way things are right now. That is my recommendation and I would find this to be more powerful than just bashing the president.
However, they are who they are, and they can choose to make the respectful political statements they want to make, and I'm not going to get uncomfortable over a group of artists speaking their mind. It's not like I love the president anyway so if "Trumpleaguer" becomes a real thing, so be it! "Gimme Some Truth" would be the wiser direction to go IMO.

Im all up for social and political. Some of my favourites are those songs. And the more passion from ed the better. Milton Keynes rant got the whole place going. I love the statements this band stand for.
