So Alex Jones is apparently a strike away from being banned on youtube, supposedly there is an organized reporting campaign flooding youtube to forcefully remove him.
I don't listen to Alex Jones but I believe this is dangerous territory.
I know Alex Jones is known to be of the Conspiracy mindset, but I feel he has made some worthwhile points on some common issues, but he comes across as the boy who cried wolf.
I have not known him to be called a racist, or promoting hate speech, he certainly demonizes anyone who criticizes Jews, and he doesn't appear to be alt-right (although definitions of that seem to be varying).
So what is it? Why the fear in what he has to say? If he is a known conspiracy theorist then why not just ignore him?
I think I know the answer. I believe the fear is that the left doesn't want any forms of communication to exist that doesn't conform 100% with the agenda.

I would say Alex Jones does promotes hate speech against Muslims. He has had some major rants about terrorism that put him over the edge from "amusingly kooky" to something worse. And for his part in fomenting the online abuse and denigration of survivors and victims of the mass shootings as fakes and "crisis actors", I can only hope there is a special place in the hell I don't believe in.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0

Yeah, a private company can decide what is on its platform, but it doesn't change the fact that anything right of Elizabeth Warren is often deleted.
And not one of you even bothered to have a discussion, instead you all go mob style to discredit and silence instead of attempting any meaningful conversation.
No surprise though. The alt-left are the real fascists.

I don't agree with almost anything said by Alex Jones, but a lot of channels have been banned for total bullshit, like anyone that telling the truth about Syria, they shut them down and that's just one instance, Google is not some neutral player in all this, they have their own agenda too, and if you have the power to control content to fit your agenda, it becomes almost impossible to resist that temptation, I had my Twitter account shadowbanned, for nothing more than pushing the #NeverHillary hashtag during the Democratic Primary, didn't violate any Twitter rules, but all of a sudden I went from getting like 70,000 interactions a day to under a 1,000 and my followers were telling me none of my Tweets were showing up on their timelines, and they never removed the shadowban since, but whatever, you are only going to see what they want you to see, or if you really want to know what's going on the Dark Web is where it's at, you are only seeing 1% of what's out there, of course there is lots of illegal stuff on the dark web which I am not promoting, but there is a lot of info that gets revealed that you'll rarely see in traditional sources, plus the government is tracking & collecting everything everyone does and they don't need a FISA warrant either, they do it because they can, but they aren't able to collect it on the dark webdignin said:Channels get banned for violating Youtubes rules all the time.
