    Hello everyone!

I'm bored....just went to the pub across the road from the record store with our mate for a few beers...now I'm in charge of the store while Leigh's at the pub with our mate for a few beers...then I'll be back over there...then Leigh...and so on...and so on! It's GREAT owning your own business!!! ;):D:D

However, it's fucking Xmas and it should be illegal to be at work this week!!! I now wish Leigh closed for the whole week like my work did. Grrrrr  At least we can work half pissed!!! :D

    Hi guys :)

I got an interesting phone call from a guy at The Newcastle Herald yesterday. Apparently he's writing a "music year in review" and he reckons that the petition and the show that came about from the petition has put Newcastle on the map, and he reckons that Andrew, Mark and myself are 100% responsible for big musical acts returning to regional areas.

He asked me a few questions and it looks like the article will be out sometime during the week, so i'll keep you guys posted

    :)

Hey EK. I might have an answer to your cicada problem. Im playing golf at that lovely course near your house this arvo and if I play anywhere like I did last time Ill hit every tree on every fairway and scare the little shits away :D

Damn.. I missed you! Wasn't home yesterday actually. Went over to the Eastern suburbs for the day and found out later on the news that we just missed seeing Paris Hilton flaunting herself at Bondi Beach. She'd been in for a dip and shower just before we got there. What a shame eh?

The f@#$% cicadas are still there. They woke me up at 6 am this morning, so obviously your golf game wasn't bad enough. Come back and do some more damage please. ;)

So what's everyone on here doing for NYE? I'm probably going to check out some local fireworks displays.

Nah, I'll probably be awake but we're just staying home and having a few drinks. I hate going out and having to wait for 4 hours to get a taxi etc! Ruins the whole night.

However, if I'm tired on NYE, I really don't feel this huge need to force myself to stay away and can quite happily go to bed before midnight and not feel guilty. Doesn't make much of a difference to me. It's just another night.

I actually played pretty well. Only found the drink once and pretty much stayed on the fairway the entire round (natural talent!!). You are right they are bloody loud - worse than my oldies place.

As for Paris...would have been nice to be out there with no legrope on and flick a board at her head.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

That was like me at Newcastle concert - went twice during a 2 hrs show. Loads of beer + weak bladder = toilets (or trees) are close friends

Damn, now that would be good. Some people have all the luck. First you get Pearl Jam to play in your home town and as a result become a celebrity.. then you get Silverchair for NYE.

Um... don't they have buses in Townsville? ;)

Shame on you for not going out on NYE. What would Eddie Vedder say? ;)

Don't remind me. Where are those #$%^ cicada eating birds when you need them?

Apparently Paris is here to help judge some beauty competition at the ..... wait for it.... Hilton Hotel. Too bad the new Sydney Hilton Hotel sucks so much .. It wouldn't surprise me if Paris helped design the new look. Reminds me of something a three year old threw together with toy building blocks..

she isn't even staying at the hilton. and yeah she's here for a few differant promo things, but i think she is here mainly to promote sexually transmitted diseases.

hee hee. Yeah, the beauty comp is at the Hilton but she's staying at another hotel apparently. I heard the rooms are really small at the Hilton, kind of like Paris's brain.
