    The story goes something like this..........

    MR was flown to Hawii by south african Shaun Tomson (think boards and waves and a camera "Boys of Dogtown" style) between riding some waves he saw PJ play (at least) twice, once at Waimea, and once at Honolulu.

    I'm not much of a story teller, and it's not my story to tell, but suffice to say keep your eyes open when in DVD shops.

    I loved Shaun Thomson in 1976 and Ian Cairns.. :)

    I reckon its a new surf movie/doco coming out featuring MR and Co and PJ make some form of appearance either as individuals or they are filmed backstage (Hawaii) or jamming.

    I never met Gustopholies but noticed him on Night 1 at Melb..and someone told me he was Gus
    I then saw him on NIght 2..I thought he was going to have a coronary in the aisle... He was going so hard....Night 3 I saw him again near Mike...I cant remember seeing him at Newcastle did he go....
    I wanna know what kind of shampoo and conditioner Gus uses cos his hair had a nice healthy shine...:)

    Well on to Hawaii, where to start........

    7 night cruise on Pride Of America visiting:

    1)Hilo - Went on a killer tour up to the volcano, which was something that'll stay with me for the rest of my life. It was very cool to see the steam venting out of the rocks
    2)Maui - Pretty disappointing. We rented a Mustang convertible and drove around the island trying to find a good beach (like in the postcards) They were there but it is impossible to find a place to park near the beach.
    3)Kona - This is on the other side of the "Big Island" from Hilo. It's a beautiful little town with beautiful aqua-blue water. I ate at "Bubba Gump Shrimp" and had my picture taken sitting on Forrest Gump's bench
    4)Kauai - Beautiful lush valleys and waterfalls. Got to see where Elvis stayed during the filming of "Blue Hawaii", and got to see where they filmed parts of "Jurassic Park" and "King Kong"

    The cruise was fantastic. The food was great and the ship was pretty impressive

    After the cruise we stayed in Waikiki for 3 days where we hung out on the beach and went shopping. Yesterday we hired a Dodge and drove around Oahu. The North Shore is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. They say Australia is "The Lucky Country" but Hawaii is as good (maybe even better)

    Got back home around 10.20pm and I am extremely tired. We left Honolulu at 12pm on Tuesday and touched down in Sydney at 7pm today. The time zones are killers.

    I'd recommend Hawaii to everybody.

    Go there people :)

    Oh I see. Ed took pity on him and let him sing on three songs to prevent him dropping dead of a heart attack ... I get it now. ;)

    Morning All

    Had a freaky strom here last night......went ballistic and then its gone. Actually, i dont know how long it went for cos i was only awake thru it for about 6 minutes :) and now i get to start my chrisstmas shopping :):) YAY nothing like last minute shopping with a million other freaks :p

    I'm doing the same thing. Did my first bit of shopping yesterday and will be doing the rest today. I can't believe you slept through a storm. The cicadas are still driving me nuts .. they were still at it at 1 am! Apparently the noise is caused by the males trying to attract the females .. the horny little bastards. :eek:

    i was kinda tired Eileen.....storm was bog and bad but i was big and tired!! cant you sleep through them? The Cicadas are horny little bastards!! Go get a big ole can of Mortein!! Its funny when i lived back home with mum and dad we had Gum Trees surrounding our house and every summer for nearly the entire season...we had cicadas non stop...i guess I just got used to them.


    Ok...I am gonna stop procrastinating and im going shopping!! See you all when I get back loaded!

    We used to live near the beach and all we heard was the surf, now we live near a golf course and all we hear are cicadas :(
    I'd probably need a hundred cans of Mortein to get rid of them!!
