    Happy for friends, and at the same time heartbroken by the fires happening northeast of us.  So many homes lost, so many acres burned.  0% contained.  Thousands and thousands fled or evacuated.

    And some poor frightened horse panicked and got stuck in a crevice, upside down.

    Sucks that tragedy makes you count your blessings, but that's how life works sometimes.

    I'm trying so hard to help people but I feel it's never enough because I'm not able to contribute financially so I have to get creative. And this particular family has me heartbroken...6 kids, dad has kidney failure and mom has thyroid cancer. But I'm resourceful and determined as hell to help them have a nice Christmas in any way I can. Wish me luck!  :prayer:

    That's absolutely awesome, RS.  Even just caring alone... well, not "just", because caring is huge- that good energy of looking out for someone even if just in good thoughts- that can make a huge difference!
