After the 2018 tour. Definitely can’t see one before South America or Europe, and even if there is a fall tour i doubt we’d get one by then either. I’d hoped for one next year but I’m thinking 2019 at the earliest. Hopefully over the winter they might get together and work through some ideas and then get creative whilst on tour before recording some stuff this time next year.
I don't think so... why put out an album when all your shows are going to sellout anyway?
because they love music and love to make new music...its an artform that keeps evolving ..get a guitar and see if you get addicted or not ........your always looking for different chord patternsllll.......you can have just 3 chord song......mr. petty was the master of that
It would be interesting to see Pearl Jam have a surprise up their sleeve. It is not impossible to imagine that they sneaked in some sessions late this year and maybe have some finishing up to do in early 2018.
It would be counter to the way the machine has typically worked going all the way back to Yield, where it was known who was doing what when etal.
You never know w/ PJ....it could be a big marketing campaign similar to LB, or it wouldn't surprise in the least to see them drop a new album unannounced similar to the way Radiohead unveiled TKOL.

Really? One new Ed song in over 4 years. No signs new album is being worked on.
^ This. They aren’t Neil Young when it comes to making new music. He’ll they’re not even Bob Seger.

On their Sirius channel a few weeks ago, the DJ was talking about the Lighting Bolt tour and mentioned that it ENDED at Wrigley. Maybe I'm reading way too much into that one word, but that makes me believe in a 2018 album.

Too many multi-word song titles. There's enough words on this list to make 3 albums.
You never know w/ PJ....it could be a big marketing campaign similar to LB, or it wouldn't surprise in the least to see them drop a new album unannounced similar to the way Radiohead unveiled TKOL.
Well since they’ve never once showed any type of internet savvy or hinted at such a thing....

So unlikely, but would be a nice change of pace.
