Just out of curiosity, how does that work in the US? Can you just bring the kid to social services and hand it over? Like, "here, I don't want to do it"? I've heard of this stick the baby in the baby drop off box at the fire station thing. That's no questions asked? There is no attempt to find the parents who abandoned the kid? And, if so, at what age does that stop being the case? Can you stick a toddler in there, or does it have to be an infant? I guess I'm asking because I figured, depending on the state or even the city, there must be some consequences for a parent who just gives up on their kid and gives it away (as opposed to the government deeming them unfit). Or is declaring that you don't want to do it necessarily translate into being unfit? And what if the parent is mentally ill when they declare it? Hmm.tempo_n_groove said:
Yes, at least the kid would have been given a chance then.josevolution said:The sad fact is that if these two despicable subhumans could of just put the baby up for adoption .
Anyway, this story is absolutely horrifying. I would think that intent (as mentioned by HFD) is easily established, no? I mean, he baby first slowly starves while it isn't changed or anything, then dies, then rots, as the parents live their so-called lives right there in the same room... I would say that necessarily means they intended to do it, under the assumption that they are declared mentally competent to stand trial.

I'm sure it's not an easy thing to do but i'm sure they could of just done it right after the birth i don't believe the parents get in trouble for putting the kid up for adoption legally this baby didn't have to die these two idiots killed this kid ...PJ_Soul said:

Some Canadians are indignant about the decision and some aren't, depending on their own perspective on the matter. Should I assume you want all Canadians to be indignant? Is that why you're asking?JC29856 said:Où est l'indignation de nos résidents canadiens?
