- Josh Homme read the kids bedtime story on Cbeebies here in the UK today. He read Zog. Quite surreal.

After that, I think Lullabies to Paralyze is the next best one, then Era Vulgaris (which I think is highly underrated), and then Songs for the Deaf, although I am not a big fan of the radio interludes on that one. It's kind of dated or something? Gimmicky? But other than that, great album..... I mean, I don't think they have a bad album, so really no matter what you get is going to be good IMO, but those are the ones I would recommend first.Oh, and word to the wise - There is a REALLY bad reissue of Rated R out there. I just can't remember which version it is. The sound on it is so bad I won't even play it - it's just completely flat. So avoid it - anyone else here remember which reissue that was? Unfortunately I do own it, but I'm not at home.

There’s a Rated R pressing out now that sounds good. I’ve posted in this thread or on of the big vinyl threads what. Has a red outer jacket and there’s something with the UPC, but I don’t remember.0

I have the Rated R repress and I think it sounds pretty bad. It’s still noisy after several cleanings. But just ranking the old albums by favorites... self titled, rated r, era and songs for the deaf. Self titled will always be my favorite, it just reminds me of fun times in college. We played the hell out of that cd.Pittsburgh 1998 • Pittsburgh 2006 • 2012 Isle Of Wight Festival • 2012 Made In America Festival • Baltimore 2013 • Seattle 2013

Man o man, I would take that Red Rocks setlist a million times over in Portland in the next couple weeks. Really hope they keep opening with Feet Don't Fail Me. Looks like a great show!0

some of my friends who were hardcore queens fans HATED Lullabies, and hated Era Vulgaris even more. I didn't get it. I loved both of those.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -
