California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon shelved for the year SB562, which intends to establish a state single payer health care system, he’s been subject to mass protests and even death threats. The bill’s chief backers, including the California Nurses Association and the Bernie Sanders-affiliated Our Revolution, angrily point to Rendon as the main roadblock to truly universal health care.
They’re completely wrong. What’s more, they know they’re wrong. They’re perfectly aware that SB562 is a shell bill that cannot become law without a ballot measure approved by voters. Rather than committing to raising the millions of dollars that would be needed to overcome special interests and pass that initiative, they would, apparently, rather deceive their supporters, hiding the realities of California’s woeful political structure in favor of a morality play designed to advance careers and aggrandize power.

JC, I count five original links about co-sponsoring the Single Payer Bill, and one re-post of another link you submitted a few weeks back, all in the span of one page. Can you dig up some more links please? I personally don't feel that I can wrap my head around a topic unless I see at least nine links with the exact same content. I'd also like a few more cynical remarks about how devious and deceptive everyone on Earth is to really let the message sink in.

Soooooo......
What is the party's direction....what are there big ideas that the people want...and who are their leaders?
Please tell me, cause I don't know / can't tell. And it's a shame. I'm not a fan of the party really, but unless the Repubs run against a sitting president (or he isnt in office anymore by the election time)...the Dems are my only hope to get out of this Trump disaster.hippiemom = goodness0 -

Senator Kamala Harris said on Wednesday that she will co-sponsor Sen. Bernie Sanders’ anticipated single-payer health care bill. This makes Harris the first Senator to publicly announce support for the Medicare-for-all bill, which Sanders has said he’ll introduce in September.

If single-payer can't pass with Democratic super-majorities in the Golden State, that raises serious questions about any national effort.

backwards thinking...
In response, Democratic senators and outside groups have begun telling Sanders and friendly intermediaries that if he wants to be a leading figure for Democrats ahead of 2020’s presidential election, he needs to get his supporters in line — or at least publicly disavow their more incendiary statements.
Shouldn't senators align with their constituents?
