double feature at the local indie theater last night.
Dunkirk-  Really good war movie.  I think the music/"score" is what made me like it a lot.  Great visuals as well!

    Reservoir Dogs-  classic :sunglasses:
I saw Dogs three times in a week when it first came out.  Cool that they were showing again in a theater.

    Dunkirk 70mm version
    Extremely well done
No big stars, not much dialogue, and very well done and not overblown action

DUNKIRK in 70mm, Wow it was incredible. Just film making on a massive scale, fully immersive experience .

standing Ovation by the audience after

its very brisk pace is unusual for Nolan films, this was just right. No Dull moments

    The music was intense.

Yeah we saw this last week. Amazing movie. And you are spot on with the music. Hans Zimmer is the best

    Hackers (1995)

I'd never seen this (or even heard of it until recently).  Local indie theater was playing it as part of their cult classics.  One of Angelina Jolie's first/earlier films.  Solid soundtrack with The Prodigy and Stereo MCs leading the way along with other electronic/rave music.  Also a slight hinge of the grunge scene in it.  Minor pearl jam reference.  as well as soundgarden and nirvana also.  Overall it was ok.

Dunkirk, and I saw it from a D-Box seat (where the seats move around in sync with the movie). I'd never tried D-Box before, and while it was weird for the first little bit, I very quickly got used to it, and it REALLY made a lot of the scenes more harrowing and exciting. It's definitely a much more immersive experience that just normal seats. I was really impressed with the effect, and I don't think there could have possibly been a better movie for D-Box than Dunkirk.
As for the movie itself... it's good! Nothing fancy, no superfluous content at all, no underlying romance story, no backstory ... it is really just a movie saying "here are some things that happened that day", and I thought that was a really nice change of pace for the war movie genre.

Back in the day... this was a great movie. CCRs Bad Moon was a great soundtrack piece.

Saw this yesterday.  Been a fan since the original so I enjoyed catching the hints about the original film and/or the next installment.
