Newsom appears to definitely be a future presidential candidate, or at least a Democratic primary candidate... I was even thinking that when he was mayor of San Francisco going on Real Time with Bill Maher... but I'm not sure if 2020 is realistic... he is currently Lt Governor and running for Governor in 2018, which he may very likely win... so I can't see him beginning his presidential bid at pretty much the same time taking over the Governorship of California... and to be completely honest I'm not sure how well a "San Francisco Liberal" is going to play nationally.... so I see it happening eventually, but not yet0
