6/25/08. I tried to get tickets for years and always got screwed out of them. MSG was amazing. Words can't describe the ammount of energy that was in that room that night. I will never forget that night.Underneath this smile lies everything...All my hopes, anger, pride and shame...make myself a pact, not to shut doors on the past just for today,... I am free.0

My first was MSG I from this year.
I'm pretty young though so I'll be going to shows more often once I can drive haha.
But that was the best concert I've ever been to and I've seen some good ones. Clapton, Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, Maiden, the list goes on...08 -MSG I.eV Newark.Stone in BK. 09 -Spectrum II,III,IV. 10- Prudential Center.MSG I,II. burgandy75 wrote:Since I wasn't wise enough to have joined the 10c, I had to buy lawn seats. Luckily I knew a guy who worked for the then Meadows Music Amphitheater, and he let in me, and three of my friends (bought 4 tix). I received my karma for stealing someones seat by getting all the wind from the pepper spray the riot cops were cropdusting the crowd with.
And I watched guy try jumping over the gate between the top of the pavillion and the back row fall face first into my friends' "borrowed" seat.
Still the greatest show I've EVER seen.
yeah, i wasn't in the 10c at that time either. i actually tried hard as fuck to get buffalo tickets that year. the radio station here (central ny) gave out an 800 number to call for buffalo tickets. they didn't go on sale until something like noon on a saturday. i started calling right at noon and kept getting a busy signal. at one point (i think it was around 3pm) i called the radio station and asked if they knew if the show was sold out. dj said he had no idea. so i kept calling. around 6pm (yes, 6 hours of dialing and getting a busy signal) the dj on the radio said "if there's still people trying to get tickets to pearl jam in buffalo, you might as well quit. it sold out in 6 minutes." i was pissed. i called the radio station to vent and the dj said "well, hartford tickets go on sale tomorrow at noon. do you want that number?" so i took the number. next day noon rolls around and i half heartedly start dialing. busy.......busy.......busy.......ringing. i nearly shit my pants. got through and was able to get 4 tickets. didn't get seats, had to settle for lawn. but i didn't care, i was going to see them (finally). good times.
**edit**
sadly, from moving so many times since '96, i lost that ticket stub. but i remember it was the coolest ticket i had seen up to that point. i think it had a dragon on it, or something. ticket was huge, too."Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"

07/13/91 - The Marquee Room: New York, NY [45m]
supporting: Rev. Horton Heat, Afghan Whigs, Gorilla, Beasts of Bourbon, Codeine
set: Wash, Once, Even Flow, State of Love and Trust, Alive, Garden, Deep, Why Go, Porch
notes: This is a musically powerful show with Mike showcasing his guitar prowess. Ed seems in a cocky mood, making pointed wisecracks between nearly every song. ("Let me show you guys the industry handshake. 'Oh, hi. Nice to meet you. Oh, ah, yes it was a pleasure. Sorry ... I see Slash.'") He jokes about 'Even Flow,' saying, "How many times we played this, once or twice? Wait, there's industry people here. We don't wanna fuck up." After 'Alive,' he quips, "OK, let's start getting into it. All the industry guys left. This, being PJ's first NYC show, Ed proclaims, "Hey, mama. I played New York City."
Jealous, also for the supporting bands.

Patriot Center 4/8/1994 ---
Radio reports were all over about Kurt Cobain dying and also that Eddie didn't show up for sound check. We drove from PHL and bought tickets from ticket scalpers so we knew that if the concert got cancelled we would be out alot of $$$.
They opened with Release and never turned back -- unbelieveable emotional show and I was hooked ever since !!!! One of my favorite all time PJ shows !!0 -
