well it looks like the porch is heading to 10c headquarters then
kylie mostly i do a graphite sketch, shading and then scan & colour - this is pretty much what it did for the space ones - however the porch was a quick digi foto of the house, fixed up and filtered and the graphics added in.
i have a fair bit of art up at deviantart.com - i think theres a link in my profile somewhere - but be warned - im a lazy lazy bitch and i havent updated there in years - its a wonder they havent pulled my profile down there. just too busy these days to draw anything for myself these days, except for other people
and i do a lot of foto work on the side - get paid in choccies or bourbon or such - probably should turn it into a business because between that and job applications for people thats all i do on my days off - but i take old fotos and fix them up, or take fotos of babies and put them on mushrooms or liliypads or give them wings and make them faireys, or change backgrounds or take people out or add them in. pretty much anything your professional graphics person does, only a lot cheaper (whats a box of roses worth these days?)
The most recent one i put a lot of work into was this couple had a 9yr old who died of a brain tumor last year. really quick and really sad. he was a mad soccar fan, and this year they met harry kewell and got their foto with him so the grandmother got me to add their son into the shot, and because of the pose, and the shot i had to work with of him, i managed to get the mums arms around him like she was hugging him - it looked great, and made them cry :( But i was pleased they liked it. I got pumpkin scones for that one!
but im earning lots of kharma points too i guess. perhaps they'll show up in the next life???

I used to photoshop people from my dad's work, so my dad could stick them up at work.. i gave a guy a bald head once he was pictured asleep in a chair..... and put a sheep around another guy's neck... stupid stuff like that.... hmmmm he was so proud I could deface people's photos... not quite the same as your story above... hmmmm.. i'm glad they liked it!

I know what you mean re; payment in food and drinks - must be a 'country town' thing :rolleyes: You really should get some of your pieces into a gallery somewhere and start making some cash though - your talent is being wasted. I used to work in an art gallery and some of the CRAP that used sell, (at rediculous prices at that), used to amaze me. Your gorgeous work would go off!
