Just makes no sense.0

I saw you suffering
Through a foggy window in the rain
When you thought no one was watching, yeah
Going through your memories
Like so many prisons to escape
And become someone else
With another face
And another name
No more suffering
Rest peacefully, Chris.0 -

When we talk openly about the chemical side of suicidal thoughts, we teach people in the deepest moment of suicidal ideation to step back, just as if they were having the signs of a stroke and say, “Wait! This is not me and it is not what I want. I need immediate help.”
Information that must be drilled home to people suffering from depression and having suicidal thoughts.0 -
Spent the last couple days just listening to SG/CC stuff.. Finally hit shuffle on the music tonight to get back to the rest of the music world and this came on. This is just a great song.....

What have recently happened has nothing to do with what he has done at others moments in his life. In some way yes, but I feel, i don't know, he wasn't clean, he couldn't think properly. I mean, I have no idea, it's just too sad.0 -

Like so many of us, I too am struggling immensely with the passing of Chris. I lost my uncle to suicide when I was 14. I was extremely close to him and music helped me cope with his passing. Without music, particularly PJ and Soundgarden, I truly believe I would have been lost. Now I sit here watching fire burn, all those memories feel like a fresh wound. Thankfully I have music there to help yet again.

I've been reading all these posts for the past few days and have been trying to process all of this. I can't seem to fully wrap my mind around Chris's passing. I feel like I lost someone close to me.
RIP Chris Cornell. You were a true inspiration to so many. Thank you for everything you gave us.0 -
Now this is eerie. I found a VHS tape out in my garage with no label on it. I put it in the VCR - turns out, it's an episode of MTV's 120 Minutes from *exactly* 21 years ago tonight. The guest for the evening? Soundgarden.

So a little smile in this shitty time. I was playing songbook while having dinner and my 3 yr old stopped in his tracks and started singing black hole sun at the top of his lungs. He has asked me to play it on repeat at least 5 times now. It's his bed time and he's lying in bed still singing it0

by Tom Morello:
You’re a prince, you’re a snare, you’re a shadow
You’re twilight and star burn and shade
You’re a sage, you’re a wound shared, you’re masked
You’re a pillar of smoke, you’re a platinum heart
You’re a brush fire, you’re caged, you’re free
Your vision pierces, you do not see
You are pieces strewn on the hillside
You’re open armed, you’re armed, you’re true
You’re a revealer of visions, you’re the passenger, you’re a never fading scar
You’re twilight and star burn and shade
You’re the secret veiled, you’re the secret revealed, you’re surrounded no more
You’re not there, now you’re always here
Youre a handsome groom, a loving father, a haunted stairwell
You’re the clear bell ringing, the mountains echo your song
Maybe no one has ever known you
You are twilight and star burn and shade
