Let stone do the riffs and Mike solo.

Eddie, leave the cheese and sappy love songs off, please.
Please recall the Mike wrote Sirens - it's all Mike's fault that the cheesiest, sappiest, worst song ever exisits.

Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.

I think this band's social media people enjoy putting out random quotes and watching the vultures circle a prey that isn't there.

Cool. Please say what you do for a living and how we and band members can all chime in to let you know how you should do your job and dictate what's important in your life.

I'm sorry if that sounds rude but come on. After everything I've gotten out of this band through their career, I take the love songs as an indication that he's in a good place. It's selfish to want the angst and turmoil. Songs are always very personal from Ed and I'd rather hear signs that he's in a good place than the 1996-20000 period where some things were really weighing on him.

as a fan, i agree with evenflow82. as a person, I appreciate that EV's happy and wants to express that. the more happy people in the world, the better, and if his music makes others happy, the domino effect takes its course.

Absolutely. I mean, the love songs don't do much for me because I don't relate to them. I definitely agree as a fan with the other poster, but also like knowing when people are in a good place. Like I said, I didn't intend to sound rude or anything, just that the love songs don't trouble me to no end because it shows he's in a good place.

I didn't think you were rude.

many people want the same thing: old growling ed in song, new happy ed in life. but that would most likely be disingenuous.

Listening to PJ's catalog is really fun because you can hear the growth throughout every release.

    Reminds me of the Beatles.
    "Too many love songs"
    "It's always been love songs"
    "Too many"
"Now look what you did, there's no more Beatles songs!

I want to hear what PJ has enough passion for to record and Release, PERIOD!

yeah, sure, so if they did an anne murray covers album you'd be all over that. sure. you're only saying that because you know they only do 1-3 slow ones per album. if it got to be half, you'd start to be like "eeewwwww"

No pants could contain the raging boner I'd have if Pearl Jam did an all mellow or acoustic album. No pants.

acoustic album is different than an album of Snow Birds.

Eh. I don't despise them like the majority do on here. Having said that, I don't think those are their strongest songs as of late. If Future Days were on an Ed solo album sans the piano, I'd love it. Sirens with better lyrics would be awesome. I think that there are many on here who want loud for the sake of loud. (Comatose for example) That doesn't make a good song. And quiet for the sake of quiet is a bad route to take as well. (Just Breathe and Future Days). Honestly, I feel like Future Days was an attempt to follow up Just Breathe's success. It got fairly decent radio play despite not being released as a single.
