I think we all know it's gonna be a very laid back album with mainly acoustic guitar and ukulele. It's not going to be a "Tea & Sympathy" but it'll do for me

I fully understand where you're coming from, but when was the last time people on the Porch WEREN'T disappointed by something. I live my life by expecting absolutely nothing, because if you expect nothing then you can never disappointed.
Most people on here are American, and I don't like to stereotype, but most Americans have high expectations of everything, whether it be food, service or music. It's bred into them, it's who they are, and that's why most Americans are always disappointed by something all the time. Maybe that's why America has the most mass murderers in the world - frustration by repeated disappointment

Back on track - I'm just glad that Ed is finally doing something by himself, away from Pearl Jam, because he gets the chance to do what he wants to do. With this he gets the chance to get the creative juices flowing for his own purpose, and he gets the chance to make all of the decisions instead of getting feedback from the rest of the guys before going ahead with a song.
I see this album as a chance for Ed to revive himself creatively, and in the long run that can only be a good thing for a)himself b)Pearl Jam and c)All of us
