today im off to save the shire! theyre trying to lump our beatiful area in with cairns.
if we wanted to live in cairns, we would have bought in cairns.
basically we're trying to save the Daintree (again!)
i love a good protest rally.
tidy work on all your dreams zig! you should start writing them down.... maybe they're preminitions or something!

Townsville and Thuringowa are getting amalgamated too...but no one knows where Thuringowa is and everyone in Thuringowa says they live in Townsville anyway so no one really cares.
Premonitions hey....I hope so! 10 club only show here we come!
But don't know how keen Leigh will be for some of my 'other' PJ dreams to be premonitions!

yeah i think most shires arnt as fussed as port and noosa.... i guess its because we're the two most saught after shires for development - we both have strict restrictions as to what can be built here. the council has fought long and hard to keep the developers out... and with the forced amalgamation with pro-development cairns, port is really at risk of losing what makes this area so special. this is an extremely close community and as it stands with this amalgamation, at least 80 people have lost their jobs - thats 80 families that potentially are going to have to leave town to get work elsewhere.
hehe i like telling joel about my pj dreams - and i think he's ok with it.... i mean its only natural right?
and for everyone who is lucky enough to be in a job where they can internet at work..... pj's lolla set is going to be webcast at 11am tomorrow (monday) EST.
i wont be watching it......... i'll be at work................ WORKING!I'd rather be with an animal.0 -

I think Leigh gets a bit concerned with my "obsession" as he calls it when I'm having THREE dreams in one week!
ha ha

Where do I watch the webcast?
the link to the webcast is over at the porch.
hehe im glad joel shares my obsession.
the only arguments we have is over which bootleg we're going to listen to first when we get into the car!
there's a permanent population of around 10 000 people in the douglas shire.... that swells to around 80 000 people during peak tourist season. the 80 families are all council workers who are going to get laid off.... thats just the tip of the ice-burg.... there are alot more people who are going to lose their livelyhoods because of this... the 80 people are the ones who have definately lost their jobs though... the council rates in cairns are alot higher than ours... so there will be alot of people (including joel and i) who are worried about the affordability of living up here... most people are self employed and have young families.
port douglas is very financially independant.... only 2 years remaining on their loan.... where as cairns has another 50 years on their loan. so it basically comes down to the cairns mayor pissing in Beatie's pocket to gain port douglas as their little cash cow. we met all the criteria outlined to remain independant as a shire.... there is no reason that we should be amalgamated
not happy! i havent spoken to a single person living in douglas shire who is happy about the decision to amalgamate.I'd rather be with an animal.0 -

ok so for years now i have been dreaming about these two boys that i went to primary school with.... like in my dreams, i accidently meet them for coffee and we catch up and stuff.
i used to be really good with them friends in primary school but i havent seen them since.
i decided yesterday that i should get in contact with them so i can stop freakin dreaming about them.... but i have no idea where to start.... ive checked myspace and facebook... ive googled for them, white pages them... but they have a common name and i have no idea where they live or where their parents live. cant remember their middle names. but i do remember their birth date....
has anyone tried to track down a long lost friend before? how did you do it???I'd rather be with an animal.0 -
FUCK! Eddie on Iconoclasts has been deleted off youtube. I loved that! Did anyone happen to save it? If so, can you burn me a copy??? PLEEEASE!!!

No amount of Berocca is gonna cure me today

Feel like shit!!!!!!
Susan, the Civic does have seats, but when I saw Oasis there, they had pulled all the seats out on the floor so that the floor was GA and there were seats only in the upper circle and the balconies.
Notice any similarities - http://www.pbase.com/efroten/image/83337727 & http://markrichardssurfboards.com/clothes_show.php3?id=2

Yes, but I still reckon it's a tribute to Mark rather than a tribute to Superman.0 -
Interesting to hear about Ed's planned performance on the kid's stage at Lolla.
Would love to hear "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" or "Puff The Magic Dragon" performed in the Vedder style
Wonder if he'll bring a bottle of wine onstage with him, and share it round :eek:0 -

Wouldn't it be funny if he did share a bottle around!
And then he ducks off to the side for a few quick drags on a cigarette and runs back out. ★ 1995 - Brisbane ★ 1998 - Brisbane ★ 2003 - Brisbane ★ 2006 - Brisbane ★
