i have no idea whats going on. all i know is that they had to call an ambulance for him at work yesterday, and he cant breathe as well as having the pains. they've ruled out heart attack which is good, but they think he may have an irregular beat as well as the pneumonia.
it sucks though, cos as soon as he gets outta hospital, i know he'll want to go straight back to work... he doesnt have a lot of money and the ambulance has cost him $560.

The fluid in the lungs from the pneumonia causes the heart to work a bit harder, causing a little bit of stress to the heart. The usual course of treatment is intravenous antibiotics and bed rest. At least he's in the best possible place he can be. The doctors and nurses will look after him and make sure he doesn't over exert himself0 -

Sorry to hear that Megan.
My old man has the same sorta thing with the irregular heartbeat. He had tablets for ageees and kept getting something done where they shock the heart back into beat. I remember he'd feel sweet as for a few days then it would become irregular again.
This was all a few years ago and I think he's just become used to it. It changed his life tho and he's now become a fitness freak (swims in the rock pool at Narrabeen 364 days a year regardless of the weather or swell - NUTS) and I think that helped a lot.
Anyway before I rabble on any more if you've got any queries about it PM me and Ill ask him.
Fingers crossed for you and the famI'll ride the wave where it takes me.0 -

yeah they're doing more tests today... i hope he doesnt need that shocky thing  id imagine that would hurt!
i just hope its not due to his diabetes. he's got type 1 diabetes, and he used to get chest pains when he had keytones (sugar levels too high).... but from what i know, his sugar levels have been really good lately.I'd rather be with an animal.0 -

Arithmia? I think they call it. Dont think it hurt at all was just a right royal pain in the arse to have it done then be sitting round that nite with the fam then him starting to feel like crap because it was skipping again.
You could feel it to by holding the pressure point thingy on his wrist.
It all went a little over my head. My brother has a Phd in Physiology so they would talk all this jargon and half the time I had no idea what they were on about.I'll ride the wave where it takes me.0 -
Oz Jammer wrote:God only knows what the Tenacious D movie will be like.
I think Will Farell would be the safe choice.
I think the Tenacious D movie will rock. I love the shows they did ages ago, they were hell funny.
And will farell is the shit! he is awesome. Man i love watching all the old SNLs with him.
And does anyone think will farell and Chad the drummer from RHCP are twins? those two look the exact same.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

Is that new 3D movie out yet? It looks pretty cool. I can't wait till 2008 when all the Star Wars movies are converted into 3D. That's gonna be awesome!!!
On a different note, Metallica were on the Simpsons in the US the other week.
I wonder how long it'll be before PJ cave in and do it. I can't believe they've turned it down twice.
By far the funniest movie I've seen in a while was Kenny. I was really skeptical, but it's absolute genius. The writing is funny all the way through.
Megan - I hope your dad's ok.My girlfriend (who's seeing 3 shows with me) is going in to kindly donate her gall bladder (the old stones problem) on Thursday. God I hate hospitals!
