A nice and warm day for it!

ahh no. went to the game and with the wind was cold as shit. had a fun time though. Flyers have to sell at the deadline. get rid of as many of the veteran d-men as possible and i'd be open to trading any of the forwards. oh and Neuvirth sucks. always liked Mason more.

Ronald Hextall is officially starting to scare me.
Is this a rebuild or a mix of the two? It seems like that and that won't work.
Today's move screams that he believes this is a playoff team that has a shot at the playoffs. And the fans all know they are awful.

Also resigns Neuvirth and PEB who are both easily replaceable players. Jesus.
And so you see, I have come to doubt

they had to sign a goalie to leave unprotected in the expansion draft after the season so they could protect Stolarz.

I was out the other night and talking hockey with a flyers fan. He went on a five minute rant on your C. Said so many things that were true. Time to move on from him....At least to take that C away. He's really not good. No idea who would trade you for him. Perhaps on a stacked team he would be a good addition for PP...But that is too much money for him.

I don't think trading G is the right move. This is a team that is still in the rebuild mode. have to get rid of some dmen and I hope that they bring up some more kids that Hextall drafted on the defense.

If you are rebuilding any high price or underproducing players are fodder.

I agree somewhat. the flyers i believe are about 4 years away (if things work the way i think they will) from being contenders. the reason i say 4 years is cause they got some young dman that need to learn how to play the game and it usually takes longer for dman to learn that any other player

apparently he wasn't feeling too well before the game. feeling better now supposedly. Went to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

Now that Hextalls pipe dream of making the playoffs is over we get some mildly exciting news before the team hits the golf courses.

Sam Morin called up and paired with Ghost tonight for his first NHL game. Wont be the least bit surprised to see him pounce a Devil tonight after last games events.
Vecchione in the lineup as well.
Good to see what these kid can do in albeit meaningless games.

so Giroux at 29 years old thinks he will all of sudden return to his previous top form next year even though his numbers have declined for the past 4 years.

scares to me think that Hextall actually thinks Neuvirth is good. Average goalie at best.

I cant believe that Hextall goes into next year with injury-riddled Neuvirth and now injured Stolarz as his goalie platoon. Would be bat shit crazy. And im not sure Vegas is picking Neuvirth to be their goalie either.

It is great to hear that Hextall is not signing any D this summer. Spots will be open for 2 of Haag, Morin, or even P. Myers to win the job in camp.

This kid from Sweden, Lindblom, looks like he could be a top 6 forward. He should get a job net year s well.

We need a lot more speed. Watching these playoffs and what the Flyers put out on the ice for last year's playoffs and this year's team is a joke. Molasses on ice.

and youth. you see a team like Toronto with 8 or 9 rookies in the lineup but Hextall is slow to bring young talent up.

Agreed but he's handcuffed with a few bad contracts although Weiss is his fault.

What a great series Caps/Leafs has been so far.

yea Leafs are really fun to watch. Haven't seen much of any of the other series yet. Playoffs are awesome to watch though. 1000x better than regular season hockey.

Somehow they just got the 2nd overall pick in this years draft, with the Devils getting #1.
Gotta figure theyll pick one of N Patrick or N Hischier.

Top two picks are basically interchangeable.

Dont seem to be really near the kane/tavares/stamkos/mcdavid/matthews level (might not have cracked the top 4 the last few years)... but still real good and a nice jump from 13th or whatever to 2
