So that's it now? It's done? It's over? No more attempts allowed until the next term?
I don't get it. Can't President Trump try again later with a re-touched healthcare plan?
People are acting like this is a major victory that has handed the repubs their ass on a plate. I don't see it that way.
President Trump will now being going after all the nay sayer republicans bigtime. They two faced him.
Now he will have a full on dedicated team working to pass the next healthcare bill while working with the dems too.
    Brilliant.

Trump and Ryan have both said they are not going to try again for the foreseeable future.

Is Hillary in jail yet? Or has ISIS been defeated? How about the wall? Has it been built yet? All low hanging fruit and so much brilliant winning to come, right?

Just wait until the Russia investigation really gets going.

What a creep. He figures the "best thing" is to leave the American people with an "exploding" healthcare plan until it gets so fucking bad for the citizens he serves that his "enemies" are forced to negotiate? Wow. It's obviously not news that he doesn't have Americans' interests in mind in any way, but it can still be shocking to me just as a human being to see the POTUS blab it out like that without shame, which he has none of.

If the Dems are smart they'll almost immediately ask him to meet at the drawing table with actual good, responsible ideas that help people (sometimes I wonder if a single American politician has ever looked to the policies in other countries to draw from their ideas) ... and then the Reps can try to roadblock it all and drag it out, which is likely inevitable, and they still come off looking like the bad guys who wanted everyone's healthcare plan to collapse on them just to "win".

Brilliant leadership. Let them all fail. Dems should let them try to figure it out. Make them come to you. Remember, Obama reached across the aisle and even incorporated and or was willing to incorporate republican ideas that they were for before the radical, black, Muslim, Kenyan got elected. Not one single republican vote. Nor an ounce of cooperation on ANYTHING. Fuck them.

True, but I'm not sure I can really see any benefit to the Dems continuing down that path. Fuck the Reps indeed, but someone has to take the high road, and it's not like the Republicans are going to! Time for the American government to fucking grow up, drop the egos, and get some decent shit that doesn't hurt people done. Or at least time for some of them to, so everyone can gawk at the pricks who refuse (side note: at least a few Reps have been stand up people through this.... that's something I guess).

    http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2017/03/24/donald_trump_learned_a_lot.html

What was important about the AHCA’s collapse, Trump now realizes, were the lessons we all learned along the way:

"I think this is something that certainly was an interesting period of time. We all learned a lot. We learned about loyalty, we learned a lot about the vote-getting process. We learned a lot about some very arcane rules obviously in both the Senate and in the House. " --- What is Trump talking about "we learned". Can't the ass just say, "I" learned. And maybe the people who voted for Trump learned why you don't vote a person who is uneducated about politics, government and healthcare (amongst many other things) into office. It has been a major setback for America. One thing good has come of all of this Trump nonsense -- More Americans are educating themselves about the country, politics and government. Hopefully, it is all for good in the end.

To be honest, I don't see anything wrong with the truck thing, and think there are a million better things to poke at. All those truckers and trucking industry CEOs seem to be pretty tickled by it - nothing wrong with a POTUS hamming it up a little bit to make people feel more comfortable. If we actually liked the guy and if he wasn't so revolting we'd probably think it was fun and charming.

Here is the byline on Breitbart... does it shock you that they are blaming Ryan and calling for his replacement? Bannon has been working against Ryan for two years now.

Republican officials in Congress and the White House are now openly discussing finding a GOP replacement to Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) as Speaker of the House, after Ryan failed to pass the American Health Care Act out of the House and misled the public and President Donald Trump when he promised repeatedly the bill would pass.
