    Marching in lockstep and thinking in lockstep are different, Ryan wanted all the same provisions as the extremist FC, but he knew it wasn't possible.
    16 candidates ran for the GOP and not one of them expressed anything out of lockstep, contrast that with Sanders and Clinton and you see how uniform the GOP is in thought. Where the Dems have a broader range of ideology, they unite to get done what they can and the extremists of the GOP refuse to do so.

    Ask Tomi Lahren how diverse conservative thought is allowed to be lol

    Spicer's assertion that the team left it all out there is pretty laughable. They didn't even think about trying, after claiming for the entire campaign and election cycle that he had a plan to R&R the "disaster that is Obamacare" , yet after only two months he's seen enough. Granted, those 2 months have seemed like 2 fucking years. The republican plan did not even think about fixing what is broken in the ACA, like the the most glaring fact that it just makes sure that everyone buys INSURANCE instead of ensuring that people actually get health care. The law is called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. pathetic.

    The bill failed because people in the GOP house wanted different things as per there different districts. There were massive ideological differences between the conservatives and the moderates that were barely reported on. Freedom of thought led to the failure. Clinton and Sanders meanwhile barely displayed any difference at all except on maybe trade but with time she opportunistically moved to his side. This lack of thought differences continued into the DNC chairperson election where every person took the exact same position on everything. That election was only about who's people got to maintain control and the establisment won.

    Now as far as Tomi Lahren is concerned...She isn't being attacked because of being pro-choice...she is being attacked (not by me by the way) because she is "all of a sudden pro-choice" after only recently taking the opposite position. While some are not happy with her now being "pro-choice" they are more unhappy with her apparent display of opportunism...as per above it's Clintonian. She built her career on the conservative side and now that she is getting invitations to The View she is apparently changing her positions for a new/larger audience. Personally I don't care about the whole story but it is far more about a media personality changing positions to build a brand.

    Trump was never going to gas a bunch of Jews like Hitler, but he definitely governs with an authoritarian bent. The reason he's not been able to get whatever he wants, whenever he wants so far is largely due to people resisting. So don't get cocky and don't take your eye off the ball.

    A big reason the health care bill failed was because it was politically untenable. People HATED it, and they let their Congresspeople know. So to say Trump is "all hype" and we don't have to worry about him -- that's the exact moment we do have to start worrying, when we let our guard down.

He tweets, he signs some executive orders subject to judicial restraint and he tries to get legislation through congress. No different then any other president before him. The authoritarian narrative is just your projection.

    The Gorusch vote will be the test. There is zero reason to oppose him based on qualification. Do the dems march in lockstep in opposition or are the red state dems able to vote for his confirmation? It appears that only Manchin so far is willing to buck the establishment. We'll see if other join him. Will the AMT figt for tickets to the next Jon Tester benefit concert if he votes yes?
