I was searching for a Tedeschi Trucks thread, and lo and behold!

Caught them for the 5th time last night; they opened for the Black Crowes. Every time I see them I am more and more impressed. New album coming out in a few weeks and it's one I just can't wait for. Derek is such an amazing musician, and Susan has the most beautiful voice. Throw in an entire horn section, and an additional handful of super-tight musicians all on the same stage.. I love them! Anybody else catch them on this tour?

Saw them open for the Crowes a month back in Atl. It was my 3rd TTB show. I too cant wait for the new album. The single has me really excited.

Been a fan of Derek and Susan(individually) for almost 20 years now. When they came together with this project I was blown away at the possibilities.
Their new cd is really fantastic. Motown is not dead!

There's a great new interview with Derek Trucks that aired this past Thursday on the WTF Podcast with Marc Maron. Lots of great stories. And it's free. Just google it.

I agree on both. Ever heard of Col. Bruce Hampton he was talking about?

Yes. I saw him a few times back in college. He used to play around my neck of the woods quite a bit. Still does from time to time. Never was able to really get into his sound, tho.

He plays this little blues club (that's on the Blues Trail) every so often that's about 10 minutes from my house. After hearing this interview, I feel like I should see him. He sounds legendary.

I've never heard his music though.
