I needed this light hearted episode after last week's 60 minutes of trauma.

I liked the episode. Shiva and King E were both amazing.

So they were feeding walkers to the pigs that were headed to The Saviors as payment. I wonder if that will have any major effect on those that consume it.

Looking back at past episodes it doesn't seem that it would make much difference. The Termites ate Bob's tainted leg. Nobody seems to mind when they get Walker blood and guts all over their face and nose. Some have said it is like your restaurant server spitting in your salad. Probably doesn't hurt you, but it makes him/her feel better. But maybe, if they continually eat pigs that have eaten walkers maybe they will get sick with something. Plus, it is a cheap easy way to fatten the hogs I guess.

It may even be the way to build immunity and end the apocalypse in season 61

Maybe it will infect them if not cooked all the way?? I'm sure it makes them feel better to stick it to them that way. Plus, they aren't using up their resources when fattening the pigs.

it might make them sick, but it won't infect them. everyone is already infected.

^^^ true, I forgot about that. But, how about an infected parasite from undercooked pork? Would their bodies react to it the same way as being bitten?

yeah, who knows. I don't read the comics, so I'm not sure if that could play into it or not. I'm sure eating pigs that were fed rotting flesh of a non-infected human could have dire effects, not to mention a zombie! we shall see. this show doesn't often mention things that don't end up being something later on. it's not Lost!

it's not without its precedent though. there was that serial killer in BC that was feeding his victims to his pigs. I wonder if anyone got sick from that. Never heard if they did.

  • Didn't one of the cannibals eat an infected person a few seasons back and flip out?

He flipped out as he was angry, but he didn't go "28 Days Later" crazy.

we all knew it was going to be. it's the pattern of WD, unfortunately.

they had to get back to story and character development...they eventually had to get over to what Carol and Morgan were doing..its going to be the pattern this season until everyone meets up...just good story telling, BUT i will admit it lost me a couple times with how slow the pace was

Thats why i quit in season 4. After they all separated from the prison, each episode was a boring, pointless grind

I can't help but wonder if the pigs are going to be a link to the plague infecting the animal kingdom on a large scale. Diseases are easily shared between pigs and humans. There are a lot of physiological similarities between the two species.
