In this order....LB is a great crowd mover, then work into the familiar tune Betterman, Given to fly will raise the crowd high for Alive to take them higher! Love Dave A. and Jack but the night belongs to Matt.
edit: if given more time, Corduroy and Evenflow are obvious choices to add.
I think they only get a few songs to play. If I had my wish it would be 4 songs, each with a different drummer to give them a nod (regardless of who is actually getting inducted...not trying to start that argument in the 3,3431 place....
I'd go with: 1. Alive (w/ Krusen).....probably the "anthem" that has evolved over the years the most that Krusen originally recorded for Ten and was an "original" PJ song from Stone that was included on that tape sent to Ed. 2. Go (w/ Dave A).....Shows off his era of drumming the best, and he had writing credits on this song. 3. Who You Are or In My Tree (w/ Jack)...again, really showing off that era and Jack's unique style, and he has writing credits on these songs 4. Any song from the Cameron era (w/ Matt C.) I don't even care which one. I'd probably pick I Am Mine if I was forced to choose.
I could see Alive, Even Flow, and Mind Your Manners being played. 3 songs to absolutely blow the doors off the place and knock the other inductees out. Maybe switch out MYM for Jeremy.
Usually all the bands get together at the end of the night to do a song together. That's where Rockin in The Free World comes in
isnt there usually a big jam session at the end with everybody on stage? assuming pearl jam is inducted last then id give it about a 99% chance rockin in the free world is the last song with about 50 people on stage.
alive will 100% be played. theyll probably play a recent song so ill say mind your manners. and another early one, ill go with daugher.
mind your manners daughter do the evolution alive rockin in the free world.
Obvious choice, but would be so boring if they played a cover.
I agree, but Joan Jett did crimson and clover with original artist, Tommy James. Rocking in the free world has become a staple in PJ sets, even though it it's a cover, and I could see it happening, since PJ does a lot of covers in their setlist.
I don't think they'll do a ballad. Maybe something slow but not Sirens or Just Breathe, or even Black. But then again maybe Black because of Mike's guitar solo at the end
