Key Arena in Seattle - 11 (12 incl Groundwork Benefit in 2001)
Hmm, the footsteps stat tracker has Key Arena down for 9 shows (including Groundworks) 1996 2000 x2 2001 2002 x2 2009 x2 2013
And it's missing the three shows in December 1993 when it was called the Seattle Center Arena or something like that. Same building, changed names.
Those three were at the Mercer arena which is at the Seattle Center Grounds but is a smaller different arena than Key Arena...I was at 2 of them
If we're talking shows on the grounds of Seattle Center, they also played the Mural Amphitheater in '91 & 2 shows at Memorial Stadium in 98...I was at both of the '98 shows.

It's pretty pathetic that the best band of this generation has only played 2 headlining shows at Red Rocks and 3 at The Gorge
Seriously weak
More at the Gorge would be cool, but Red Rocks is a small venue. It only holds 10k people. I can see why acts that usually play NHL/NBA sized arenas don't play there often.
Clarification: Pearl Jam is the best band of the past 25 years... and they have played America's best & beautiful venues only a handful of times... which is odd
I understand not playing Red Rocks in recent years due to its size and the crazy demand PJ generates for tickets. Not returning to the Gorge in the last decade though is strange.

I know the scenery is gorgeous but how is the sound at the gorge?

I dunno. It honestly seems like too much of a pain in the ass for me to ever go to. Camping in the middle of no where? I'll pass.
Fun topic. Wouldn't have guessed Melbourne but it makes sense.
Are there are any other venues to play in Melbourne?
In terms of size, after Rod Laver the next best option is the retractable roof Etihad Stadium which seats 55,000. They played there in 2009.
They played the Myer Music Bowl for one of their 95 shows.
Other possible options could be AAMI Park where they play Soccer and Rugby. Outdoor venue. Bigger than Rod Laver Arena but smaller than 55,000 Etihad. Inside the Etihad they have large boards with a variety of artists and sports that have been held there. There's a great shot of Eddie. They had around 45,000 for that gig!!
