I mean, if we're really getting picky on who votes here and the options given in the realm of keeping it realistic- you're vote for Sanders shouldn't be an option. You should choose not voting because Bernie is not on the ballot.tonifig8 said:Free, you should have kept this poll to Americans only, no disrespect to my fellow citizens of the world, but just so we could get a more accurate poll.
I understand the premise you're going for, but 1) it doesn't count 2) the only people who will see that are the election judges when they're counting write-ins, so you're not sticking it to the establishment 3) you're write in vote for Bernie simply gets ignored by the judges just like the people who write in Batman, Superman or Jesus.
Again, I have thought hard about doing that very thing, but it just doesn't mean anything. I can't write in JFK and pretend like I actually voted for Kennedy in this election.

I have 30 years of reasons to dislike Hillary and not enough time or space on this forum to articulate it...and yes my choice was Trump ONLY cause Rand Paul wasn't an optionmy2hands said:Most people cant articulate why they "hate" Hillary... I think it's just the popular thing to say/do
Meanwhile Gary Johnson doesn't even know where or what Aleppo is... that ticket seems to have zero intention of winning and seems like a wasted vote in clearly an important election

Hillary ClintonWhy wouldn't you vote for Johnson? Third parties aren't going to be taken seriously until 1)people vote for them and 2) third parties show they can raise cash.
I don't see how voting for Johnson in Missouri is a wasted vote. It's going to be red on Election Night, might as well vote your heart.
Side note: how do you see the governor's race and senate race doing? I think Blunt is going to be okay, but the governors race is already nasty.0 -

Not sure how to do that, in fact, I thought folks out of the US just wouldn't place a vote since, they are not residents! Or do what Hugh voted: not voting dammit!tonifig8 said:Free, you should have kept this poll to Americans only, no disrespect to my fellow citizens of the world, but just so we could get a more accurate poll.

Are you guys actually expecting to get some kind of accurate or meaningful result here?? What difference does it make if people from other countries voted? Surely you weren't looking to use this poll as some kind of representation of how America is going to vote?Free said:

She's been working in politics for how many years? And you want a simple answer?? There is none. Read the Hillary thread. Read this too:PJ_Soul said:

This is a comment from someone on another forum regarding a Clinton policy proposal of $10 billion to stop the heroin epidemic:ledvedderman said:I'm not thrilled with it, but I will be voting for Hillary. None of those candidates really represent me, but she's the closest.
"I plan to vote for Hillary in November due to lack of options.
However, I wanted to point out that this is a great example of a typical policy proposal of a corporate Democrat. It's nice that Hillary has so many policy proposals to fix the crises facing the country, but when you actually examine those policy proposals, you'll notice an interesting pattern.
Most of the details of her programs involve making the middle class and upper middle class pay for the programs. Whenever there's a crisis that's primarily caused by corporate greed, the corporatist Democrats say "We're much more compassionate than the Republicans. Here's a government program to alleviate the pain."
The M.O. of corporatist Democrats is to continue placing Band-Aids over the gaping wounds caused by the unethical practices of big business instead of trying to address the issues anywhere near their source. The issues usually stem from the industries themselves and the agencies that "regulate" them, which have been hijacked by those industries. And then to add insult to injury, they want the middle class to be disproportionately responsible for footing the bill for the collateral damage to society caused by the large corporations.
The opioid drug companies spent 8 times what the NRA spent on lobbying and campaign contributions from 2006 to 2015. Should anyone really be very surprised that Hillary's plan involves no measures that might discourage these companies from continuing to push these drugs?
It's especially ridiculous considering her position that more research is needed to establish the benefits of medical marijuana. Are you fucking kidding me? Bought and paid for".0 -
Hillary ClintonIt's a little far fetched to expect a scientific poll from a band's message board. Especially a band like Pearl Jam whose fans don't typically follow the mainstream in regards to, well, anything. (Which I find cool) Based on that you're going to have higher numbers of parties other than the two main parties. A good chunk of the posters on here would fall in a similar age range. Some are older, some are younger...that's cool.
I think it's fun to see how we would do if it all came down to us, but we shouldn't take any result seriously.0 -

I'm more surprised that people here actually admit that they are going to vote for Trump. Now we will always know who they are, and I have someone to blame if Trump gets elected and I'm living with nuclear fallout.0 -

She is being held to a much higher standard. And I think she should be held to that standard, but so should Trump. It just seems like everyone has become so numb to how much of an actual fuck-up he is that he can get away with it. That is the only way I can understand it. It really defies all common sense.Free said:Dig, As we can see from responses, folks have more of an issue w/ Hillary and her shadiness than Trump and his Misgivings. What does THAT say?

In general, Americans of had it with establishment politics. That is the whole thing behind trump, he is a circus in himself and it's clear he doesn't want that job, but the people don't want establishment. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss" isn't jiving on Americans anymore.dignin said:

The one commonality Sanders and trump have is that they're both antiestablishment. And the Sanders movement was YUUGE. If anything is understandable, is that we are fed up with establishment.Post edited by Free on0
