    Prefer me some Powderfinger to be honest however I do have Bernard's first record Tea and Sympathy.

    This effort is a LOT better than Departures. Very few songs I liked on that one. Whilst I do prefer Powderfinger's stuff, Tea and Sympathy was a very good album. This has some similarities to that album and I'm now curious to see what the second release will sound like

    Agreed - Departures was a tougher listen for sure. Sounds like on this one he got back in his wheelhouse once again.

    Yeah, Departures, was exactly that - a departure from everything else he's done. It certainly sounded like he wanted to make an album that was so far from any Powderfinger comparisons. Mission accomplished, but it was very average IMO

    I miss Powderfinger alot - I loved how they would include so many demos & b-sides on their singles. Love their Iron Maiden cover of Number of the Beast.
