    yeh

did you not meet the band?
  • Thanks for the birthday wishes!

yea...that guy behind Dennis Rodman... I don't know who he is but he looks familiar and he was standing near me during the concert.

Alas, I did not meet the band **sigh** but I can't have it all, can I? ;)

My husband's company erected the stages for Lolla last year and they are contracted to erect the stages for the next three years. When I heard that Pearl Jam was headlining at Lolla, I asked him to do whatever he needed to do to get me backstage. We didn't know if we had any tickets until Thursday and once we got to Lolla and met up with our guy, he gave us the Pearl Jam guest passes that got us to the balcony on the stage. I've seen Pearl Jam several times, flew to Hawaii to see them but this was an experience that I can't quite describe. I was living a dream last night. :D

wow! fantastic shots! cant say im not a bit envious (as i sat about 100 yards back from the stage in the middle of a baseball diamond - in the sand) - but cool to hear about a real fan getting an opportunity like that!

and happy birthday! i bet any gift you got paled in comparison to those seats!

and it was an air-conditioned bathroom! ;)

I saw this photo on the Tribune website. I circled in red where I am and my husband's feet dangling from the balcony.

    Very cool!

I've been lucky enough to watch many bands from the side of the stage.....I always love looking out into the sea of humanity and watch everyone rock-out!
