Maybe Ed and Sean are just swapping the beard and taking it in turns to wear it for each public appearance.

I look at Ed without the beard and i see an old man lol....bring back the beard Ed!

I'm obsessing over a beard, that can't be a good sign. Maybe it's because of my seeming inability to grow a full consistent beard. Maybe that's what it is.

I thought the exact same thing. It's probably the way he is holding his hand. It's more of a feminine - non aggressive position (cupped inward and covering his mouth). The hand reminds me of something a girl might do if she wanted to appear shy or even a bit flirtatious by pretending to hide a playful smile.
Or it could be his beautiful locks of curly brown hair.
