Speaking of which - holy shit! Took me less than two minutes to get tears from this.

    Music is simply........

    Simple.

    And utterly humbling.

^^^ That's such a great peace and great performance.

I've had this version since around '68 or so:

Ode to Joy is one of the most...well, joyous - and moving...pieces of music I've ever been blessed to hear.

And that scene from Immortal Beloved.

    Holy fucking shit.

Hmmmmmm, I haven't listened to that in yearssss.....AWESOME! It's the kind of music that once one starts to listen, one doesn't stop till it ends.

    Peace

*MUSIC IS the expression of EMOTION.....and that POLITICS IS merely the DECOY of PERCEPTION*

This should be the AMT's theme song.

    Hopefully thought there, Hedo! :plus_one:

And a great rendition of one of my favorite Lennon/MCartney songs!

B, as much as I love PJ and so many other bands and types of music, nothing will ever come close to the Beatles for me. So many genres wrapped into one huge tapestry, plus those voices, that energy, the role(s) they've played in my life.

One of my favorite memories, late 70's, sitting with my dad and sister on her bedroom floor and playing some of their songs for him. On vinyl! As a classical music lover, he got it. Loved them along with us.

Tomorrow I'm visiting their exhibit at the Grammy museum with my dearest cousin who took the walking Beatles tour in London with me years ago.

    I can't wait :)

    Cool! Enjoy the museum!

And good story about your dad. My folks were not so much fans but I think they got a kick out of my brother and sister and I glued to the tube the first time the Lads played on Ed Sullivan. Blew our little minds!

It was so SO sweet. Reinforcing and smile-inducing. And learned new...learnin' stuff =)

Anyway, had to get some of their fabulousness going here.

    As always, straight to George.

Interesting how much of his music was centered in love and religion.

A perpendicular parallel, but thoroughly enjoying this beautiful mind of music and lyric.
