Mansfield they made sure it was well-publicized though. Putting 6:30 on the ticket allows for some wiggle room, maybe if they ended up getting an opener after all. I wasn't reading much into the time diff until people started commenting on here. Now, would I be shocked if Eddie did a song or two? Not at all.

No clue if this is relevant but the last show of Jackson Brown and James Taylor started 6:30 sharp. Different genre, obviously.

its relevant. dead & co. was 630 too, but then paul mccartney on that sunday started after 8. for dead & co. they were very vocal about the 630 start time. tonight is still a little up in the air compared to that.

My first show was in Pittsburgh in 2000, back then Eddie was known to come out early and play. Haven't seen him do it much since then but there is precedence.

    He ended up doing:
Trouble, Dead Man, Parting Ways, Naked Eye (both Naked Eye and Parting Ways w/Lee Ranaldo, Steve Shelley, and Jim O'Rourke)
    Pittsburgh 9/5/00
    Toronto 10/5/00
    Boston, MA 9/28/2004
    Boston 5/24/2006
    Mansfield 6/30/2008
    New Orleans Jazz Fest, 5/1/10
    Boston, 5/17/10
    Wrigley, 7/19/13
    Worcester, 10/15/13
    Fenway, 8/7/16

Didn't Eddie used to do that to get people in the doors as a favor to the opening bands?

Do we have any reason to think these sources have knowledge other than what is printed on the ticket? I'll be in at 6:30 anyway, but until I hear otherwise from 10C I'm assuming the start time they told us is the correct start time.

Yeah, I would love to hear where this info is coming from.

I'm in Hingham until at least 4:30, I'm trying to figure out just how much I should hustle to get in there for 6:30. (still have to will call my tix too)

The source on WAAF has been right before. Not saying he's right this time, but I wouldn't be surprised that he has some inside info.

I tend to agree. One, they will play til curfew and I don't see them playing for four hours. Two, when have they ever played a show with an intermission break. Not really their style.

Fenway Park tweets "6 hours now" at 12:30. Not sure what's what but you better believe I'll be at my seat by 6:30.

It's very possible waaf & Dooley got their info from the same source (maybe Dooley WAS 'aaf's source)

I have 3 inquiries in to PJ's Twitter feed...... I'm hoping for a response as I'm going to be hard pressed for 6:30 also.
