Check out GO GO CHAOS I don't think it will disappoint ,unless you go to sleep listening to PANTARA or MOTÖRHEAD ✌

Thanks mate, They were playing a gig a few years ago near where I lived and I nearly went to see them, but something came up. Will definitely check them out. I watched a few more Youtube clips last night and liked what I heard. Lots of good Oz bands out there. I'm loving Gang of Youths at the moment

Haha...what about the posters who named more than 5, or used the 'honorable mention' cheat? Or listed solo artists?

Gun to my head, I'll throw Grateful Dead and The Beatles on my top 5...but those 3 have been my only long term permanent fixtures. So there.

Only 5 is definitely tough. It doesn't really reflect my taste in music very well when I can only name 5. My list makes it seem like I don't listen to any bands that originated after 1990, lol.

Thought of this last night then read this thread.
    1) PJ
    2) tragically hip
    3) The national
    4) U2
    5) gaslight anthem

2-4 can interchange. 1 and 5 placement is for sure

    Neil Young
    The Clash
    Pearl Jam
    Pink Floyd
    Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros

I could probably add Zeppelin, the Stones (pre 1980), White Stripes, Dead Kennedys, Soundgarden, Johnny Cash, and at least ten others.

    The Who
    Wilco
Tough to pick only five.... Will round it out with The Doors, big part of my youth with PJ

I think an unbiased list would be:
    1. The Beatles
    2. The Rolling Stones
    3. Led Zeppelin
    4. The Who
    5. Queen or Pink Floyd

My personal list would be something like this (really tough to be completely honest):
    1. Led Zeppelin
    2. Rolling Stones
    3. The Who
    4. Queen
    5. Pearl Jam

    Fenway Park, Boston 8/5/16
    MSG, New York 5/1/16
    Central Park, New York 9/26/15

    Pearl Jam
    U2
    Queens of the Stone Age
    MUSE
The Black Keys (I'm a massive vintage fan, I know, this band isn't near top 5 bands of all time material.)

So if you wish replace Black Keys with Arctic Monkeys or White Stripes.
