Best places to have some good beer during the day before the shows at Fenway? Quality of beer and atmosphere equally important.

    I think the TGIF guy was being genuine as there is one at the corner 2 minutes from Fenway. That place is packed though. Boston Beer works is right across from Fenway of you like craft beers but again crowded. Cask is good if you want food and at the top of Lansdowne but again crowded and probably most popular. There is a cool bar halfway down Lansdowne where you can see inside Fenway but really small. Don't remember name. There is also a bar at far end of Lansdowne on the opposite side that has five floors.

    Atmosphere: Baseball Tavern, Cask N Flagon, Jerey Remys, Bleacher Bar (the one you can see inside Fenway) And Jillians.

    Bump.  Dorchester Brewing Company has tours on Saturday.  Night Shift in Everett is excellent.  And there's a little place in Canton, MA that has a lot of buzz.  Shhhhh...don't tell too many people...but it's called.....Trillium.
