funny, I remember everybody saying "tax it" it will help the economy......I never understood why anybody would ask for taxes just to get pot legalized.
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/how-pot-businesses-are-getting-smoked-by-high-taxes/

and it's still illegal as far as the fed's are concerned !.....pot smokers have effectively set themselves up for a higher(no pun intended) price than when it was illegal in state laws.....leave it to the government to tax the availability of something to keep it out of reach....kind of like ammo right ?

It's much cheaper in Colorado than anywhere else. Medical users get ounces of the best bud for under $200 an ounce.

no argument here, they did try that in the 30's but the Mob made so much money and killed so many people that the fed's gave in.

just a thought, if the fed's legalize it the taxes will climb higher and so will growing and selling regulations, (permits ,fee's, taxes etc.) I'd be willing to bet prices will at the least double within a year of federal legalization.......hay ? if the fed's legalize it will medical insurance cover prescriptions ? or do they already ?

    Morning, GF.

My insurance doesn't cover my prescription (yet covers Viagra!), but my dispensary pays the taxes. I'm not sure if or how that part will change should it become legal for recreational use too.

I think the issue is with Federal taxes per that article. AZ bill for recreational use has sales tax at 15% which is double the normal tax but ok to me. Alcohol and Tobacco products get taxed at that rate or worse for sales tax. I just want this treated like any other recreational drug like alcohol. If Feds are going to fuck over dispensaries then Anheiser Busch should pay same rates.

Well, exactly. Drug dealers have made so much money and killed so many people that the feds ought to just give in.

Is it really? Unless you are very good at it, home grown weed would be as crappy as home made wine.

Not anymore. They have autoflower now. Besides, being a bad grower only affects yield, not potency.

Who says home made some is crap? I do. No home made wine can compare with proper vinification techniques. But I'm glad you're pleased with what you are growing, jose.

The growth in Colorado is amazing. While other states are cutting budgets... Damn near everywhere you look there are new roads, new schools, or construction going on. Explosive growth in secondary support markets.
