Back in 2004 my friend Michael Franti introduced this lady to a packed 9:30 Club crowd. She came out with her guitar and played four songs in her raspy voice. We all clapped and sang along with her, she blew us away. I later met her and talked with her backstage and came across as genuine of person I ever met.
