    I have an acrylic platter, too. I keep the slipmat on for decorative purposes. Keeps dust off the platter, and seems to reduce static a bit.

    Decorative purposes - with an acrylic platter, no slip mat is needed. I switch between my QOTSA and PJ slip mats.
