Probably. In which case it is a recovery week for my credit card

Yes, you have that correct (add the boots and it adds up quickly). Got the first two drops, now see if I can get a MSG 1. That's all the ones I'm going to try and get.

I bet the vast majority of posters sold at the shows end up full of thumbtack holes, crinkled, and thrown away after a few years. Have you watched how some people smoosh up these posters after they're out of line?!

I saw a lady with a Lauderdale poster folded up, that was sitting near me at the show.

Most likely, maybe just two of them, with tomorrow being Memorial Day. Got the first two drops, now I wait for MSG 1. That's the only other one I would like to have.
I'm waiting for the Lex, after missing out at the show...and certainly not paying ebay prices for that one

I saw one (for the first time like this) with a Toronto 2 Mark5 folded in half squished under her armpit, while her 2 hands were occupied with (much more important, lol) beers in each!!!! Me and my wife were loosing our minds! Felt like someone must have asked her to grab them one, but she was totally oblivious. The person who asked for the poster must have been appalled!

It's sad to see that happen. But it's their money and poster.

Totally! Also I was so proud of my wife for (subtly) calling 5that poster folding lady out! ...When we were dating, my wife didn't even go to PJ shows in Vancouver (like 1997-2008). But since we went to the Manchester show in 2009, she has been the most supportive person. Not to get too mushy, but I feel so lucky every day to have a partner that wants to travel and buy posters too! My friends and family might have no clue what it means when I say we saw all of Binaural, but at least the two of us can go absolutely apeshit together!

I wish the best to all of you in having similar connections with your partners, whether it be PJ, chocolates, or anything else you mutually connect on (lol, I should have posted this lame, fuzzy post on Valentine's Day). Btw can't wait for Fenway and Wrigley!!!!

I think we who are framing them in museum quality materials are the weird ones. These posters are meant to be tacked up in garages, rec rooms, dorm rooms and record stores.

I kinda agree. I sometimes look at mine and think.. "wow I'm a dumbass, I spent $200 framing a $35 poster"

I know, I have a few that are valuable. Some I don't want to take out of the portfolio and frame because they are so valuable.

For instance my PJ20 Ames was initially framed, a few years went by and I wanted to change the frame so I had my framer take it out...and thats when I noticed the 'acid-free' matt had left black residue on the border of the print... I was PISSED! so now that poster is just under my futon in a portfolio...prolly to never see the light of day again...the only thing that made me feel better was..."at least it was just a $30 poster"

At the end of the day you have to ask yourself are you really planning to sell it or wouldn't you rather just have it hung in a frame so you can enjoy it?

I would also be upset if I took apart my frame and found the backing to not be acid free as claimed. Someone would have to be held accountable.

I had something similar happen, all of my valuable prints are out of frames, except the ones that as buck put it, priceless to me. Those i keep on the wall to enjoy.

They recycled them most likely(cards)back during the war, same with comic books. In the 50's the Mantle cards were in bicycle spokes for sure!
