Oh yeah, one more thing. If its a political debate or conversation, then pass the mic around the arena. to everyone. Let's hear what everybody thinks! One guy with a microphone and an audience does not a conversation or debate make.

    ROCK AND ROLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They aren't a juke box.. They will play whatever the eff they want. Stop w/ the ghey posters..
    hhmmm
even when ive paid 70 quid to see them at reading, as have many other PJ fans? we are the guys paying, and while i dont really mind what they play, i can see why some people might be annoyed.

so you guys whinging about the signs, fuck off, people can do what they like if they are paying the money to get in.

I would like to start a campaign to STOP THE SIGN CAMPAIGN FOR SATURDAY NIGHT.

Every person that reads this should print 1000 signs and hand them out preshow. Your sign should say: DON'T HOLD UP SIGNS WITH SONG REQUESTS

I guarantee we'll get PJ to not play the songs we haven't asked for. Who's with me? In order to take part, please print a sign that says you're going to assist with the sign campaign to stop sign campaigns. Take a picture of yourself holding your sign and provide a link to said photo in a post within this thread. Thank you for your support.

By the way, I'm not going to the show Saturday. If someone else could coordinate this for me that would be great.

I don't see why they aren't playing it yet. Clearly Ed isn't done talking about Bush, and they aren't playing any "danger zones", with the possible exception of New Jersey. And who gives a shit if people boo? Nothing wrong with a little dialogue.

(I just like the song and hope they play it).

And why are you people bitching about signs? Clearly they work, as long as they are used sparingly. You don't want to hear rare songs? The Leash thing went a bit too far, although I will point out that the "campaign" ultimately did work.

that would suck,, and force me 2 walk out,, so please dont play it

i think it just ruins the mood ,,even if 90% of the place wants it played
it still ruins the whole night for the people who dont want it
no need to deal with that again

Now I hope they play it.

I'm all about political music, but enough's enough, the song BLOWS! It was a disaster in Uniondale. Let it go.
The wierd part is, I agree with the politics of the song (ie. Bush is the worst) but despite some decent music in it, the words are awful! Purely and simply awful and embarrassing. You want some art with your politics - WWS.
And for all of you wanting it, and with all the awesome songs coming out this tour (Why Go, Leash, Alone, Footsteps) can you HONESTLY say you'd rather hear the sucky Bushleauger?

Yeah since when is rock n roll about politics or since when is PJ about politics.

Fuck the people who don't want it. Since when has Vedder cared what anyone thinks? If they don't like Pearls Jams political views then they can go and see someone else less offensive to their tastes. So yoy would walk out would you? Good! See ya!

We need a "stop the leash" campaign. I've heard it 5 shows in a row, it kinda loses something. I want to hear oceans, and if they played it 5 shows in a row, I would be sick of it.

No more signs! No more signs! No more signs! No more signs! No more signs! Think of something original... like passing out a few thousand small letters telling the crowd to chant BROTHER after the 1st encore... OR bribing the venue to display BUGS on the jumbotron... OR hire the local high school cheerleaders to create a giant W M A cheer pyramid when the house lights come up.

I am happy w/ just letting the band decide what they want to play but if you GOTTA feel like you put your stamp on the show... be original!

In other news, I for one feel music and politics go together BUT I kind of quit caring after Ed flip flopped on us. Years ago the two party system was the problem, then his distaste for W made him change his stance a bit.
