I would love to see 1 sign campaign this tour and it happen on Saturday.
If anyone is good at PhotoShop...was wondering if you can get a bushleaguer sign hosted somewhere so we can print them up and take them to the show.
I'll even go as far as priting a few 1000 and handing them out preshow to anyone who wants one.

STOP THE LEASH....PLAY BUSHLEAGUER U PUSSIES!

  • Why does there always have to be a campaign?

Please drop this bullshit. The signs are stupid. If they want to play it, they will play it.

maybe they need to be pushed a bit.

Do you really want to hear it? I like the song, I have seen it played 3 times but I really do not want to deal with the situation that happened at Uniondale.

I was there, 3rd row, right in the middle of it.

It is the last show of the 1st leg of the tour, lets end it on a high note.

I hate Bush. And Bu$hleaguer was an amusing little song from Riot Act and very appropriate for play on the Riot Act tour. However, I don't really think I'd have any need to see it broken out again. Besides, we'll be hearing WWS at every show, so they'll get their jab at the president in.

On the other hand, I am not going to be there Saturday, so what do I care?
I cannot come up with a new sig till I get this egg off my face.

that would suck,, and force me 2 walk out,, so please dont play it

i think it just ruins the mood ,,even if 90% of the place wants it played
it still ruins the whole night for the people who dont want it
no need to deal with that again

    1) Signs Suck

    2) Bushleager sucks

Why would you want to make stupid signs that block people's views to request a song that sucks?

When did all Pearl Jam fans become 14 year-old girls?

a piece of paper will not block anyone's views.

Seriously, who wants to have a freakin political debate during a concert? If I want that I'll stay home and watch cspan. A band can share its beliefs with us, but they already shared Bushleaguer with us. Now if it was good song that would be different, but it's not. If he needs to be political, just rant on Bush and Cheney and then play Fuckin Up.

Thank God Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me is not political or clowns would be clamoring for that.

I'm all about political music, but enough's enough, the song BLOWS! It was a disaster in Uniondale. Let it go.
The wierd part is, I agree with the politics of the song (ie. Bush is the worst) but despite some decent music in it, the words are awful! Purely and simply awful and embarrassing. You want some art with your politics - WWS.
And for all of you wanting it, and with all the awesome songs coming out this tour (Why Go, Leash, Alone, Footsteps) can you HONESTLY say you'd rather hear the sucky Bushleauger?
  • elevation622elevation622 Posts: 926
Oh yeah, one more thing. If its a political debate or conversation, then pass the mic around the arena. to everyone. Let's hear what everybody thinks! One guy with a microphone and an audience does not a conversation or debate make.

    ROCK AND ROLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

even when ive paid 70 quid to see them at reading, as have many other PJ fans? we are the guys paying, and while i dont really mind what they play, i can see why some people might be annoyed.

so you guys whinging about the signs, fuck off, people can do what they like if they are paying the money to get in.

I would like to start a campaign to STOP THE SIGN CAMPAIGN FOR SATURDAY NIGHT.

Every person that reads this should print 1000 signs and hand them out preshow. Your sign should say: DON'T HOLD UP SIGNS WITH SONG REQUESTS

I guarantee we'll get PJ to not play the songs we haven't asked for. Who's with me? In order to take part, please print a sign that says you're going to assist with the sign campaign to stop sign campaigns. Take a picture of yourself holding your sign and provide a link to said photo in a post within this thread. Thank you for your support.

By the way, I'm not going to the show Saturday. If someone else could coordinate this for me that would be great.

I don't see why they aren't playing it yet. Clearly Ed isn't done talking about Bush, and they aren't playing any "danger zones", with the possible exception of New Jersey. And who gives a shit if people boo? Nothing wrong with a little dialogue.

(I just like the song and hope they play it).
  • rebornFixerrebornFixer Posts: 4,901
And why are you people bitching about signs? Clearly they work, as long as they are used sparingly. You don't want to hear rare songs? The Leash thing went a bit too far, although I will point out that the "campaign" ultimately did work.
