I really really need to start packing, but that won't start until after this long memorial day weekend.
What is everyone's plan for arrival? My group is leaving Maryland Wednesday morning, hopefully before 5am to beat the Washington DC rush hour traffic. We might have to just plan to detour out of the way and just avoid DC altogether. With no traffic or stopping, we will get to Manchester around 4pm
I don't really have anyone I want to see on Thursday except B0RNS. I think this will play to my advantage because I will just be able to go with the flow. I'm super excited for LCD on Saturday, but I haven't gotten into Tame Impala as much as I expected I would have. I guess I still have 2 weeks..

That sounds like a very cool set. I'm a little upset that The Lennon Claypool Delirium is playing directly before PJ... I want to see them but I also want a ood spot for PJ.

if you want to see any early thursday bands, say between 7-9, that might be cutting it close. but no, it's not late. you might get put in the sticks, though.
have your tent/pop-up/anything you need to set up immediately accessible as soon as you get parked, because space is precious and if you're farting around in your trunk digging out your equipment your neighbors will take what they can.
Anyone leaving Bonnaroo right after the PJ set and has an extra spot in their car?

Anyone that's been before have any tips on getting in the pit for PJ? Sounds super confusing
It's as easy as getting in line! In 2008 people lined up once the stage opened that day. There are pits on both sides, stage left & right, they both hold the same amt of people.
The big difference would be you get the PJ line. There will be people going in & out of the pits for the other acts playing before PJ. It clears out after each show.
If you have a small camp chair take it in, you can take it back to your camp before PJ.
1. Can you see the other acts while in line 2. If I'm not trying to get rail, do I still need to wait all day
#1. Yes. You are in line at the stage.
#2. Maybe not ALL day, but you're not just going to walk in when PJ kicks off.
Just seeing that picture got me all smiling and happy!
To add to this, there will be multiple lines, 1 for each act. They are along the fence to the extreme edge of the stage, so you won't have a great view of the morning acts. Bring shade, the What stage pit line is usually full sun most of the day. You should walk over to scope out the line on Friday and really evaluate if you want to miss out on a full day of Roo to sit in line for PJ. Personally, I don't think the pits are worth it, I would rather see the other stages throughout the day.

Looking at the schedule and internet forums, alot of people are surprised there is no late night act on the Which stage Saturday night following Pearl Jam. Has PJ arranged to play long? Do you think we will get a 3 hour concert? They aren't scheduled to start until 10:15, will they play till 1:15am? Do you think they are too old to play such a late concert?

Line up early if you want rail just pit, maybe 2 acts before they play. Bring a buddy for alternating bathroom, food and water runs. If your solo you would probably be alright with cool line buddies.
I'm going to cut out of Lennon Claypool delirium to head to the what field. Pro tip, take the long way all the way to the left side. Start with the corner back by the arch and hug the outside track near the vendors all the way across the back and down the left side fence until your about even with the sound tower. It seems the right side is more of a cluster fuck most of the time
