Not a Sox fan, but as a fellow Gamecock, I'm pulling for Jackie Bradley Jr to be successful. I've never met him, but know a few people that have and by all accounts he's just a genuinely good person. That makes it pretty easy to root for him.

After the PPD game and last night's game, I'm thinking the June swoon might be starting a little early this year?

Those April and May games are going to count in September, though!!!

    is sloppi still doing well?

I figure he is retiring before he tests positive again.

    He's tested negative since 2004.

He reportedly tested positive for something in 2003 when he was still kind of a developing ballplayer. His name was curiously leaked along with three others regarding that single failure six years later in 2009. Also curiously, 100 names of players who failed that confidential test remain anonymous.

He must have consulted with a nutritionist and changed his OTC workout supplements immediately upon learning of his test failure--or else he would've continued to have tested positive from 2004 to now. You know, the years he's actually been a fucking force with which to be reckoned!

Based on all of that, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and trust him when he says that he never knowingly took anything illegal.

If he tests positive again in what's left of his career, I'll backpedal.

Till then, mangristle sliders for you piece-of-shit witchhunters.

Pappi went to the Barry Bonds school of denial. Bonds also never tested positive after that 2003 test. Free Barry Bonds!

My 11 yr old nephew asked me about Big Pappi earlier today -- he is currently (ha!) his 2nd favorite player.
I told him I believed he roided a while back but there was no proof and as a big fan of his I thought that he was perfectly fine continuing to root for him as your 2nd favorite.

You know Wob loves to troll on any team other than his Giants -- who as Ani points out, is the biggest roider/denial guy ever. Wob has no ground to stand on, other than to try and agitate you.

So, Aaron Hill? Last I checked, he wasn't a pitcher.

I guess Travis Shaw got pretty dinged up, though. Plus, he sucks against lefties.

Going to the game on Sunday. Maybe I'll get to see Hill play third.

Like in 2004 against the Yankees down 3-0 I told a friend *it ain't over till it's over*. There's still time, I'm surprised they've played as well they have this year so far with that Red Sox pitching.
