    Just wondering, but why are posters and stickers such a hot commodity with people on this board? I'll admit the posters look cool, but how much of the artwork in your house can really be that of a rock band's tour posters? This is a real question, not a put down. I just have never seen the amount of "strategy" involved in all aspects of going to a concert as I have with the fans on this message board.

    I collect posters for all the PJ shows I go to, but waiting half a day in line and getting shut out isn't appealing to me. I've only seen the merch truck in action twice. The first was Vancouver 2013 and it was reasonable. 20 to 30 minute wait and plenty of merch. The seattle show a few days later was insane. They brought the truck in early and the lineup was huge. There's no way I get in a lineup that big. I managed to get a poster on the inside with no problems. I've got GA for Wrigley so I don't really want to buy inside the venue because I'll have to stand with it for 5+ hours. Maybe it's worth collecting them after. Wait for the 10c to sell them or something (or maybe having the free day is worth paying $80 bucks each on ebay).

    Amsterdam in 2014 they did a pre-merch sale thing in the city the day before the first show.
    Tenclub said there would be the posters for the shows there so I went and queued up for 2+ hours and when I finally got in they were never selling the concert posters in the first place, just some limited crap that was so expensive not even loon PJ collectors were picking them up. I just wanted a poster for the show as was promised so I could spend more time at the bar at the gigs.

    Definitely left a sour taste in my mouth and two hours lost in my favourite European city (bar London) that I wouldn't get back.

    Point is, they could sell merch early in the day or a day before outside the venues so ppl couple pick them up or even do a pre-purchase line where you buy online then pick up there and then. So many options to save people time

    I have no idea why they haven't at least tried this?!? Of course they'd still sell it at the show, but you wouldn't need a merch tent open at noon. You could limit it to one bundle for every city the member has won. Designate a specific merch booth in the venue and you pick them up anytime during the show.

    I understand this only helps fans that won the lottery, but any other way and you have flippers again.
    During the '09 tour we had the opportunity to secure a poster from the show during the 10c tix pre-sale which was great because I didn't have to worry about rushing to the merch stand or carrying it around during the show. I really wish they would bring this option back.

    I'm not looking forward to the merch line at MSG.

    I'm 50/50 on whether or not I'll be even attempting it at Wrigley.
