Why sue in the East when you can just throw someone out of a five story building?Drowned Out said:In the comments of one article I read (or maybe it was the article itself), it mentioned that there was a much higher chance of litigation involved with western cases - Putin isn't likely to sue anyone...having your legal ducks in a row for the US info might take more time.
Was also reminded that the guardian (symbolically?) destroyed their Snowden files, with the official reason being fear of lawsuits putting a freeze on their coverage of the story....Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -
Has there been any mind blowing uncovering of a real solid story out of this yet?0

I really don't think anybody cares about corruption stories anymore. A rookie LA Laker's guard getting his roommate to admit to cheating on Iggy Azalea is what matters now.tempo_n_groove said:Has there been any mind blowing uncovering of a real solid story out of this yet?

This is why this story is important.
Panama Papers taunt the masses with more proof that game is rigged

"They, along with thousands of other less-prominent names exposed in the data dump, belong to a private club that's just really a great place to be a member.
Once you're in, investigators become more sympathetic, regulators become more forgiving, and taxes become much more avoidable.
Law becomes a relative concept. You actually get to make laws, or at least fund the people who do, which can amount to the same thing.
Plus, you get fabulous stock tips."0 -

Also, I looked at some Icelandic last names ... you would have to be a spelling bee champ just to send someone a letter in that country.Post edited by Jason P onBe Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -
Had the fortunate opportunity to visit. Magical. BTW they have one of the lowest marriage rate for having children. In college I had an assignment where I had to pick a city and come up with and engineering improvement. For reasons unknown, I chose Reykjavik ... mind you, this was in the dawn of the internet where you still had to rely on this guy to find anything out about Iceland ...polaris_x said:

Not much info to be found on Iceland in the 90's! They have good geothermal and horses that run in a 5th gait ... and that's about all the info I could collect!
I came up with some B.S. bullet train but considering making the report about building a very large boat to take everyone some place warm.

Some of the people in that list make no sense and shouldn't even be there, although that's assuming it was compiled solely in the context of the Panama papers. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0
