the fenway staff will have to make adjustments. all i know is i wont be backing down, they better find some fold out seats and add 2 seats to that row, or place me in a better spot.
its not like anyone is sneaking in, legitimately purchased tickets, paid for. theres not way they can place you in a worse spot than what those tickets say. this is even if there are duplicates, which i dont think would happen.
why does everyone think there will be duplicates? i think the computer system can account for that, the only ones that were resold were the ones that were refunded. someone dorked up and didnt cancel all of them, im sure thats all that happened
i called 800.352.0212, press 1 to get an email copy of my order, then it has you enter in your phone number, then it says "if you want a copy of the order placed on feb 11th, press 1", then there is also another one that says the same thing "if you want a copy of the order placed on feb 11th, press 2".. so i do the whole process twice, pressing 1 the first time and 2 the second time. only one email comes through, so that makes me believe that one order is still valid somehow, and thats why it didnt get refunded. so maybe in their system its jacked up and i will still get tickets, hence why im apprehensive bout calling them to raise any flags or for them to look into my account.
their computer system still sends me a full conformation email with the tickets listed in it.
try this out and see if you get similar results
i did this and had the same results ... but my screwup tix were definitely refunded
so if you guys get the tickets they screwed up on and someone else legitimately has the same ticket what do you suppose happens?
I would imagine that either the first fucked up ticket would have been cancelled and not accepted at the door, or whoever shows up first would cancel out the other person's when it's scanned upon entry. Either way, unless you're the first to show in scenario 2, you're fucked. You'd have to discuss with will call/management when you arrive.

I agree with zman. Not sure why some are sounding like there will definitely be duplicates. I would think whatever computer system they're using will only print 1 ticket per seat.
Yes, the on-sale a day early was a screw-up... but printing and distributing 2 of the same ticket seems like it would be an entirely different, unrelated issue... don't think that's going to happen. And again, if it does... that sounds like their problem, not mine.
I am giving it until next Friday to receive tickets as many people have already received theirs in the ail.

Hmmm... yesterday (3/14), I received my Fenway tickets that were purchased the day they were supposed to go on sale. I have not received the tickets that were purchased in the "day early fuckup"... and I still haven't been refunded. If I don't receive the "fuckup" tickets in the next couple days, I'll probably agree with Weston1283 that it's time to start thinking about fighting for the refund.
i havent gotten either yet, i would say about a week after u get one set, then its prob safe to say the others arnt coming, i would think the first call is to redsox with your confirmation number asking where ur tickets are
Got my actual sale day tickets yesterday. I was refunded for early sale tix on Feb. 14th.

If you guys do get the "F'ed up tix", won't you be concerned that they won't actually get you into the stadium?
no concern at all. i have an order confirmation email and my tickets in hand. ill have the manager explain to me what the problem is, and i will have paid for them. ill get in, no problem
and the fact that i honestly dont think there are any duplicate tickets (unless a bootlegger does it)
so far it sounds as if no one is getting those jacked up tickets, yet Fenway took the cash...who's the suckers now..haha..I kid I kid...im curious to see how this turns out

I didn't have the impression that anyone thought there will definitely be duplicates. I thought people were just talking about it as one possibility. In reality, the chances of Fenway making that huge an oversight are slim to none.... This is all just hypothetical jibber jabber.

I wouldn't be nearly so confident, the manager on site will probably only be a supervisor with limited power. I think it's irrelevant, you won't be getting the cancelled tickets anyways.
Anybody receive the "jacked up day early" tickets yet? I may be calling today to ask about my refund. For those on here that were hoping they would receive the "screw up" tickets, I think our hopes have been dashed.

i havent received any tickets yet, and ive seen others still waiting. there only seems to be a handful of us on the board who have actively been talking bout jacked up tickets, so that limited the sample and information on this. im waiting on jacked up and non jacked up tickets which im expecting today or tomorrow in the mail. i think we are in the same boat. ill post when i get something in the mail.
got my legit tickets in today, nothing on the jacked up ones yet. going to wait till early next week before calling in for refund, just in case the others are in a diff batch.

Thanks for the update, zman. If nobody has seen the "jacked up" tickets arrive yet, I think we're out of luck. Have you checked StubHub to see if your "jacked up" seats are on there?
I had made two separate orders during the early on sale as my friend couldn't get through on her phone. I received the refund for the first order but never received the second. I called the Red Sox a few days after and they said that both orders were refunded. I had to then put a claim in with my bank, who gave me back my money, but today I see that Live Nation has re-billed me for one of those orders.
I've been on the phone with my bank, the Red Sox and Tickets.com. All say that my order was cancelled and I should be refunded. Why Live Nation thinks they can keep my money is beyond me. The Sox say that no tickets besides the ones I ordered on the correct day have been mailed. Totally frustrated at this point.

Unreal. This whole thing has been so poorly handled.
