Nanook will camp out for the rail @ 7:00 am the day of the show & be first in line only to have 200+ Inuits show up right before the doors open with numbers on their hands.

So this is wild speculation but hear me out:
The MN Vikings twitter account said today that there would be an announcement of a "rock concert" at the new stadium coming soon. US Bank Stadium is scheduled to be completed in July. Luke Bryan is scheduled to play in August and is being billed as "one of the earliest events" at US Bank Stadium, but not necessarily the first. However, the tweet only lasted about 2 minutes and then disappeared. Is it possible the the "rock concert" alluded to is Pearl Jam? The addition of Telluride would at least get them in the right area of the country for a stop in Minneapolis. Would this be a venue the band would consider playing? What other "rock" acts could sell a large stadium like that?0 -
Guns N Roses. I dont think Pearl Jam is quite on the football stadium level yetthro84 said:So this is wild speculation but hear me out:

Could be Pearl Jam opening US Bank Stadium--wasn't there a rumor that the Twins/Target Field were trying to get a show this year? Maybe Vikings/US Bank Stadium won out, much like it appeared that Wrigley won over the rumored Soldier Field show. I do agree that Guns N Roses is more likely though.0

I guess anything is possible but I think a football stadium in Minnesota is unlikely.thro84 said:So this is wild speculation but hear me out:

I do think there might be something to Dodger Stadium. Fits into the historic venue category the band is targeting, big enough market to sell out...could be.___________________________________________

They are going to blow out telluride with a 3+ hour set
No question0 -
All it takes is 1 little festival to get the rumors ramped back up!
I think it is amazing they are playing this festival, I really wish I could make it but 99.9% have to pass0 -
Eddie is friends with the Pohlads doubt he would shun them for the Wilfs. Still think Target Field is a possibility before Colorado.chiefnjk said:Could be Pearl Jam opening US Bank Stadium--wasn't there a rumor that the Twins/Target Field were trying to get a show this year? If there's more Midwest dates the band may officially bankrupt me. Love that they're doing this, but Lawd!0

This will not be a "festival" performance at all...ckravitz said:
I was thinking this and can easily see that this show will be THE show of the tour (the London '13 show so to speak).my2hands said:They are going to blow out telluride with a 3+ hour set

It will be a very special night I'm guessing0 -
My coinage is already low - I am going to need a part-time job fund a Midwest leg if announced.0

I was hoping we would hear something today because it feels like they're just doing announcement-sale-announcement-sale-announcement-sale. It sucks that this doesn't go on sale until 3/4. I wonder if we'll get midwest dates on 3/8.

Not the worst problem to have.0 -
Ya its definitely GNR. They are known to be booking football stadiums across the country. Target field does have an offer out to pj to play there. It's up to pj to accept. I'm guessing capacity at target is probably 40-50k. The football stadium is probably 80k plus.thro84 said:So this is wild speculation but hear me out:
