I'm just happy to cross off the south from my touring itinerary lol. Now I need to hit up cali one day and then I'll have shows on all corners of the country.

It might be because all your parents live down here and they are not that interested in Pearl Jam.
This. Although I felt like this is why Phoenix didn't get a show for 10 years. Y'all know how that went. We sold out and were vocal from the first chord of Long Road

I live in the FTL area and I am extremely excited for all of the Florida shows! In my experience the first two nights of a tour will likely not be the longest or the shows with more rareties. Maybe things will open up a little by Tampa and Jax but still early on.
I've got a feeling the Miami show is going to be an absolutely wild, epic Saturday night. The arena is just a few steps away from Bayfront Park Amphitheatre, where they had their legendary/infamous show back in 94. No doubt that show is going to be in their thoughts when they make their return!
I hope you are right!! I was at that Miami 94' show! It was the first show I saw with my wife before she was my wife.. Lol.. We had tickets but they had GA sectioned off and We climbed underneath a fence to get to the front and were about 5 rows from the stage on a set of small bleachers on Mikes side. "Garden" in the Rain was Epic amongst many other great memories of that night!

Ok. I will give you Florida is an unpredictable market, but keep this in mind:
1. The only tickets left are behind the stage. And in Miami, they are in the 400 section which are extremely high up there. It's like sitting in the rafters.
2. Most bands play Ft Lauderdale or Miami. I can't recall too many bands playing both. In essence, this is like two shows in one city because the arenas are only an hour apart.
3. Places like Chicago/Wrigley have a huge season ticket holder base that will buy any ticket to any show that they can just so they can flip them. I'm not sure that there were that many seats available to season ticket holders for the Florida shows. Trust me I tried for Ft Lauderdale and I'm not sure Jacksonville even has a team at that arena.
4. It has been 20+ years since they played Miami. They have never played Jacksonville.

I think the Jax arena is for a minor league hockey team

6 days and counting and still not a single Florida show sold out? Really, not even the tour opener? I know, I know but, there's only bad seats left yet, 14 other shows with the same possible circumstances are SRO! Hope they never waste their time on this state again! Play Alaska instead and watch it sell out in 10 minutes, lol.

I'll take a shot at defending these shows. Each of the 4 FL shows are right at 1,300 tickets on Stubhub. MSG1 has 1,900 and MSG2 has 2,300...mostly lousy uppers. So one could argue that the scalpels are taking a chance on the lousy uppers for the MSG shows
Can't wait. Lots of hype but they never let us down. FLL as the first show of the tour will set the stage, I hope they bring it. Open with release or maybe something like Go or even even flow for energy, or maybe something soft and uncharacteristic to build energy like unthought known or oceans??
Also excited to see the stage setup. Not touring an album is an important thing, so the set list will be more varied. Hopefully they go minimal on stage setup, I miss the candles and darkness of 96

Ditto on the minimalist stage. I have Stone's side mid level "obstructed view" and am hoping that there is not a whole lot to get in my way.
Wish i had the cash and time for all 4 shows in florida. Just hoping for two destinct shows. Also release leash brother hti wash which are on the bucket list!

Agreed. Fingers crossed
I could definitely see that but I'm selfish and want it in Tampa haha
Every Tampa show i been to has been sold out... listen to tampa 2008 boot. i think it was the loudest sing along to a show i have ever ever been to.
Lol I was at that show and there were lots of empty seats in the upper deck. Plus they had the curtain up so there was no behind the stage seats sold. I've been to 20 shows in 7 different states and the Tampa 08 show was by far the worst. Crowd was lame and the band felt it. This was the shortest setlist of all the shows I've been to as well. Hope you get a much better crowd and show this time.

Only seats available are behind stage at all 4 shows. All the shows will be well attended and will have high energy. I'm looking forward to all of them. Florida doesn't have the enthusiasm like some parts of the country--in music, sports, etc.,because of the demographics but those of us that live down here are really looking forward to it and deserve all 4 after such a long wait. Hats off to PJ, who will play as many states as possible during the 25th anniversary tour. No use bitching because a few seats behind the stage might still remain. This thread is useless.
But either way, the shows are practically sold out all that is left is the top of the 400s at AA. Another interesting fact, comparing the seating capacity of arenas, not the stadiums, they are playing. I looked at MSQ, one of their biggest markets, and it sits 18,200; AA 19,600, BB&T 20,737... So I think South Florida at least is doing pretty damn good with the ticket sales.
Also playing Miami and Ft lauderdale, like many people have already pointed out is like doing two nights in one venue. Truthfully, I am very proud of my south floridians right now because when I first saw they were doing two nights down here I thought it was crazy. But we have proven that they should come down here more often!

Maybe they have not sold out any of the four shows because the people there have the option to go to four different shows and most people are not like us diehard fans who go to 4 or more shows a tour. Being from SC I am glad to see Greenville sold out, but If there were two other shows on top of the tow in SC already it might not have sold out.
