Ok so I'm going to try and be nice but, really all I have heard and seen in the last 10+ years is bitching, moaning and complaining about why PJ never plays there! Well you have the first 4 shows including the Tour opener and haven't sold out one, why?? Chicago just sold more tickets in 1 hour for 2 shows then the whole possible capacity for your 4(and your tickets have been on sale for almost 1 month)! Stop complaining and sell out a damn show already!

  • Hmmm...not sold out? ...could this be the answer as to why FL has not had a show in a long time.

I lived in FL for the last five years and always hoped for a show...then I move back to the northeast and four FL shows. Not complaining, I have 2 Philly, 2 MSG and a Fenway to look forward too.
  • Yeah, really embarrassing! I've lived in Florida all my life and rarely find anyone who shares my musical taste (PJ of course, RHCP, The Boss, Tom Petty, Amy Winehouse r.i.p., Pink Floyd, DMB). My best friend likes Michael Fuc#%$@ Buble! I just don't understand it. Even most men I know like the pop crap that passes for music these days - it makes my ears bleed! Aghhhhh

  • Honestly, anything that ain't behind the stage was already scoped up by bots probably.... They are the "people" selling out the whole tour from the get go ( that's not saying humans wouldn't do it come show time.) Take a look at broker sites for MSG tickets. Thousands of tickets are still available, just not at face value.... Fuck bots.

C'mon, pop music today is hated on way too much. Usually for me pop music isn't something that I'm gonna listen to with any expectations of emotional connections to the song, it's just something to listen to andappreciate the music. Once in awhile I'll get surprised and a great pop song will come along, prime example: Hello by Adele

Only reason i don't care for it anymore is because it was played way to much

As a Florida resident, I agree that Florida generally lacks the kind of enthusiasm you see in other parts of the country. Whether it's bandwagon sports fans or concerts, you tend to see the same 'meh' attitude for the most part, in my experience. But I'm not sure comparing PJ at Wrigley Field to PJ at any of the Florida stops is a fair one (a historic evening with Pearl Jam at the BB&T center across from an outlet shopping mall, anyone?). Both South Carolina dates aren't sold out, and tickets remain for Kentucky and North Carolina too.

I've got 10c tickets to the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami shows, which are just far enough apart distance-wise that some residents of either city won't make the trip for both. If they'd only played one or the other, I'm pretty certain that show would've sold out. Either way, it's gonna be an absolute blast. And contrary to the 'typical' Florida crowd, I've got a feeling both FLL and Miami are gonna be extremely high-energy whether it's sold out or not. Can't wait.

PJ didn't play MN for eight years and it was the first place to sell out in 2014. Sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder (MN) and other times, people just lose interest (FL)

I could be wrong here but I believe the only seats still available are singles and behind the stage. Keep in mind most artists don't sell seats behind the stage. They put the curtain up. If they had done that these shows would all be sold out.

I'm glad I lived there during the 90's and for 2000...it was one of PJs favorites spots. They would end their tours there. It isn't the same place anymore. I went to the 2008 WPB show....what a lame crowd.

I chose fll and Miami because I love Florida. I've been to msg dozens of times and Fenway and wrigley too. Haters will hate but I'll be so pumped, a former chef of mine is the exec at the south beach Marriott so we're staying in penthouse suites for free. Florida is badass because you know your 10c number will get you better seats, it will be 75 degrees with swaying palm trees, and chicks in bikinis in April. Don't think I can find a better place to be than there.

Oh, and one more thing, I got plane tickets from allegient air for less than $250 total for 2 tix round trip. Woohoo!

Would you say that the MSG shows are generally over-hyped?
I haven't been to one, but they would all have to be the very best shows of the tour to match up to the hype.

Agree. Ticket availability for seats behind the stage is the biggest if not the only reason that all shows aren't sold out. If those seats were not made available, I have little doubt that every show would be sold out or close to it. I, for one, don't blame folks for not biting when it comes to these seats. Full price to sit behind the stage? Um, ... no thanks. Maybe if the tix were reduced in price or if I had no chance of seeing the band (frontal view) elsewhere, but ... they're not, and I do.

Nah I wouldn't say they're overhyped because it's msg, the place is really cool for a show. But I agree that they have a lot to live up to because expectations are through the roof, ya know? Just remember 2013, Charlottesville out of nowhere and in '14 moline and Milwaukee ended up being the shockers. So if you went by recent history, the sc shows and Florida shows may be the shockers with epic set lists.

It held true for Europe as well, San Siro and Amsterdam had the hype but Trieste and Vienna were the gems in the continental shows.

At least 15 friends of mine, as well as myself (for them) tried for tickets at 10 am during the Tampa general sale. For me, the ticketmaster waiting thing spun for like a minute, and best available was the 300 level seats behind the furthest "goal" in the arena. Only like 3 of us even had the opportunity to buy anything in front of the band, the rest of them had best available show up as upper deck behind the stage.

Call it a non-sellout, but it basically is for anyone who doesn't want the "drummer view".

I've got a feeling the Miami show is going to be an absolutely wild, epic Saturday night. The arena is just a few steps away from Bayfront Park Amphitheatre, where they had their legendary/infamous show back in 94. No doubt that show is going to be in their thoughts when they make their return!
