At least 15 friends of mine, as well as myself (for them) tried for tickets at 10 am during the Tampa general sale. For me, the ticketmaster waiting thing spun for like a minute, and best available was the 300 level seats behind the furthest "goal" in the arena. Only like 3 of us even had the opportunity to buy anything in front of the band, the rest of them had best available show up as upper deck behind the stage.1rogeraspain2 said:
Agree. Ticket availability for seats behind the stage is the biggest if not the only reason that all shows aren't sold out. If those seats were not made available, I have little doubt that every show would be sold out or close to it. I, for one, don't blame folks for not biting when it comes to these seats. Full price to sit behind the stage? Um, ... no thanks. Maybe if the tix were reduced in price or if I had no chance of seeing the band (frontal view) elsewhere, but ... they're not, and I do.primussucks said:I could be wrong here but I believe the only seats still available are singles and behind the stage. Keep in mind most artists don't sell seats behind the stage. They put the curtain up. If they had done that these shows would all be sold out.
Call it a non-sellout, but it basically is for anyone who doesn't want the "drummer view".0 -
I live in the FTL area and I am extremely excited for all of the Florida shows! In my experience the first two nights of a tour will likely not be the longest or the shows with more rareties. I love how people start hating on other parts of the country. Lots of shitty people in Florida but a lot of great folks too. As someone who lives in an area of the country they rarely tour, appreciate them hitting up Florida and the Carolinas.

I've got a feeling the Miami show is going to be an absolutely wild, epic Saturday night. The arena is just a few steps away from Bayfront Park Amphitheatre, where they had their legendary/infamous show back in 94. No doubt that show is going to be in their thoughts when they make their return!steved said:I live in the FTL area and I am extremely excited for all of the Florida shows! I hope you are right!! I was at that Miami 94' show! It was the first show I saw with my wife before she was my wife.. Lol.. We had tickets but they had GA sectioned off and We climbed underneath a fence to get to the front and were about 5 rows from the stage on a set of small bleachers on Mikes side. "Garden" in the Rain was Epic amongst many other great memories of that night!captainmuggsy said:

Ok. I will give you Florida is an unpredictable market, but keep this in mind:
1. The only tickets left are behind the stage. And in Miami, they are in the 400 section which are extremely high up there. It's like sitting in the rafters.
2. Most bands play Ft Lauderdale or Miami. I can't recall too many bands playing both. In essence, this is like two shows in one city because the arenas are only an hour apart.
3. Places like Chicago/Wrigley have a huge season ticket holder base that will buy any ticket to any show that they can just so they can flip them. I'm not sure that there were that many seats available to season ticket holders for the Florida shows. Trust me I tried for Ft Lauderdale and I'm not sure Jacksonville even has a team at that arena.
4. It has been 20+ years since they played Miami. They have never played Jacksonville.

I'm pretty sure the band picked the FL run since I moved here and they want to accommodate me. That's the only logical explanation.Post edited by maryjayne127 on0
