I don't do the documenting, but I THOROUGHLY enjoyed all the periscoping of the latin america shows in November.

It could be an Unselfie and raise money like the Red Cross during Giving Tuesday. That's a different spin on it.

I was thinking that people could be in the stadium or wherever in Philadelphia with a sign "I'm here at Pearl Jam Philadelphia on April 28 and I hope the play. . ." But it could end up being a giving project.

#PJPhillyFan4Flint on a sign and take a Unselfie and post on Twitter.

    Or #PJFan4Flint

OR to keep it concert focused

And, to keep the momentum going before a show I could put a piece of paper with

    #Waiting4theShow

written on it near the lattes I photograph and get people who see my posts wondering about it.

For those who use social media are you going to get your followers excited about your concert journey?

To make this 2016 Pearl Jam Tour Collaborative Selfie Project worthwhile it may need to answer a question - maybe something as simple as

"How do PJ fans who are strangers act like when they are seated next to each other at a concert?"

I run out to a pay phone between songs and call my buddy with the set list. He writes everything down in a spiral notebook.

    Ha. Nice!

It sounds as though MH has it figured out. Good luck with your project.

Isn't it amazing how this project has morphed in less than 24 hours. Imagine how it will morph in 3 months - very exciting! Yay!

the Headstones show in regina two nights ago, I wasn't there. I go on twitter late at night, and notice that some of my fellow fans are watching something on periscope. So I join in. it's the fucking concert from the front row. why anyone would want to do that while at the show is beyond me, but did I watch it? HELLS YES.

while at shows I don't do anything social media related. scour the web afterwards for pics and videos.

I document my concert experience with my eyes, ears, and other senses...

put the phone away folks, you're missing out on life... and it is very annoying to the rest of us at the show

totally. the douche in front of me at the Cornell Songbook concert, IN THE FRONT ROW NO LESS, was recording the entire show on his phone, while looking through it. after the first 4 songs, I finally told him to put it away, and he was a dick about it to boot.

I can relate to this - haven't done it myself (aside from you tube shit) but can see succumbing to inhaling it from the sidelines if given the opportunity. Sometimes we live vicariously.

That said, when we saw Puscifer last month, I took some photos of the venue beforehand (it was GORGEOUS). Even if the place didn't have a specific ban on taking pics or videos during the show itself, I wouldn't have - seems rude, in a way - plus I was in my own little zone of Zen and love. Still, some did...and the fucking light coming from all of those little devices distracted, irritated.

I give not a fuck if someone wants to document their experience, but please, in the process of doing so, don't take away from others who just want to soak it in without fluff.

99% of the time I actually leave my phone in the car or hotel room, I see no reason why I would need it during a 3 hour concert

please put your phones away people

my iphone 4 is a piece of crap.

my photos are digital, on a mid level Sony point and shoot camera that allows me to manually control the exposure. it also allows me to hold it to my eye, so I don't have the "screen glow" for everyone behind me.

There's a lot of light at those shows. ISO 800 250th at f2.8 with some adjustments to the files in the machine later.
