Coming from Scotland I was lucky enough to be at both shows in 2010. First night was great but that second night will live with me forever. To see your favourite band in a legendary venue and it to exceed all expectations, well it doesn't get any better.
My problem is that I would love to go back to MSG, but that means no Fenway or Wrigley, can only afford one trip so which one to go for??????????
Thing is if it had been Barclays, then its hello Boston/Chicago.....funny that

@SVRDhand13 I saw someone do this for another show but maybe we should start a ticket pool if any of us get shut out from both shows. What do you think? I trust your judgement.

  • Shouldn't they have just skipped Fenway and Wrigley and done an 8 night run at MSG over a couple weeks PJ25? Witness the fact that this thread is longer than those and it seats a third of what those do. It's the easiest place to get to from all over the world and if you've never been there, there is nothing, and I mean nothing like the feeling you get just walking in this place. All due respect to Wrigley and the dump in Boston, but sorry it's MS freakin G.

Yeah, Dolans a douche and they'd probably have to sacrifice some of their guidelines of living, but it simply makes so much more sense than outdoor stadium shows.

Get your star next to Muhammed Ali, the Dalai Lamai and the Pope or (again, all due respect) Carl Yazstremski and Ernie Banks?

Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Sure, we can use this as a hub to get tix if people are shut out of 10C and TM.

Thanks homie. Been targeting traveling to see PJ at the Mecca for a while now. Seeing PJ at MSG and Gorge are bucket list items for me. These shows will be absolute monsters.

Keep in touch after the lotto and as we get closer to the tour. Always love meeting new and old PJ friends at shows. It's the beauty of it all, and the shows are just icing on the cake.

Best of luck to everyone to score tickets.

I'm all for more nights at MSG (my wife and I both have MSG shows as our #1 choice here). But if you want to skip lesser demand shows, don't go after Wrigley. Wrigley will sell out both shows. Look at the numbers on the shows down south. Still some 99%'s out there 5 days in to the lottery.

Oh. I'm fine with keeping all of them. That just goes to logistics. No way they could do that run in May with scheduling difficulties with playoff holds (that will probably never get used, but still). So August would be most likely time to do that type of thing unless they planned like a year or more in advance and were willing to deal with potential date moves.

Plus, not so sure Wrigleys going to sell out twice quite as fast as you think now (especially with the reduced novelty factor) let alone if there were 8 dates in NYC around the same time for more ardent folks to travel to. I think as it is now, you will be able to walk up day of show and buy tix for 1 if not both dates at Wrigley.

I think we over estimate their draw. Most of these places sell out because we travel and over saturation would reduce that. Or maybe, I'm underestimating it. As I recall night 2 AV didn't sell out for PJ20. Out of the way no doubt, but still. Selling out baseball stadiums might be a tougher go than you imagine if they had an 8 night MSG run in the middle. The only thing worse than baseball stadium concerts is 3/4 filled baseball stadium shows.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

The first show is now down to single digit odds for GA.

Oh and you have me on there twice SVRDhand13 (though I'd love to do both shows twice!).
  • Sorry, these are dumb questions:

    1. Can you be drawn for both GA and Reserved for the same show?
    2. Are Reserved back of the floor? If so, I'd probably prefer to just go TM for loge.

    1) No. You can only get one pair of tickets per show. Actually just one pair of tickets per city, which includes both shows at MSG.
    2) I believe most reserved are on the sides close to the stage, but that some tickets will be behind the GA on the floor. If you have a high ten club member # (like me), your chances of unfortunately getting stuck on the main floor behind the GA are greater.
